I first visited Big pine key in 1984 while on winter break from college. I have been going ever since. I have made friendships to last a lifetime and now I go back with my wife and two children. If you love the environment, boating, fishing, exploring and fireside chats this is the place. My hope is that my children... more

First time visitor to the lodge and was quite disappointed. Right off the bat the staff at check-in refused to let me keep my jetski's on my site with me and refused to let me even goto my site until I launched them. I said I was uncomfortable with keeping them in the water over night. Staff did nothing to... more

This place is wonderful. Everyone there is so friendly. We had a great time during the week of Feb. 18, 2008. Our time there was so much funt that we ended up cancelling our campsite in Bahia Honda State Park to stay there again in the week of April 21, 2008. Daughter (3.5 y.o.) enjoyed every minute there between the... more

Big Pine Key Fishing Camp was one of the most fun places we camped last year. Infact we are returning next week for a few days. Big Pine is the only Key that has miniature deer on the island. They roam freely and are not shy. Keep your food grounded or in your camper because they will get to it!... more

The rental trailers are very clean and well maintained. The staff are very kind and helpful. Our refrigerator broke down and they replaced it the same day and were gracious enough to reimburse us for the food that spoiled. There are planned activities for kids and adults, but best of all is the adjacent protected area where you can walk... more

Our over all stay was wonderful. The lodge is family owed and the staff takes pride in maintaining the grounds in great condition. There are plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy from dance night to ice cream night. You have a wide choice of accomendations from RV/camper/tent section with electric and water connectons to plain camp site with no... more

We decided to visit for the nearby beach and selected the lodge by random and being the closest to the beach. Reception was very helpful and the room very functional and clean. We spent a very nice day at the beach and on retruning to the lodge decided to have a dip in their pool which was lovely at the... more

All of the employees were very nice and helpful and the fishing lodge has a really nice store with just about anything you might need. They have many conveniences and is a great place for families to stay with the schedule activities like dance night and the ice cream social. Many Key deer in the evenings and early mornings. Now... more

We heard about this place from a friend and they absolutely loved it. We decided to go down there and camp for a few nights and fell in love with the place. The location is ideal as it's right across the bridge from Bahia Honda State Park, and you have food accomodations a little further south. The bathhouse is probably... more
