I frequently stay at Red Roof Inns when traveling as they are always a good price and offer free night stays after so many points. I've never stayed at one costing more than $60 and the renovated ones are normally very nice. The rate at the Red Roof in Clearwater Beach was about $130 after tax but for the location... more
It's all about location. The beds were actually broken and awful. They had boards running underneath them to keep them up. BUT I loved where it was located at. And the room was pretty big too. If you plan on spending a lot of time in your room, I would look elsewhere. It was perfect for us because we wanted... more
I arrived in Clearwater Beach in the evening and had booked a room at the Pelican Inn next door to the Red Roof Inn. Had a problem with the quoted rate at the Pelican, so I walked next door to the Red Roof. The gentleman at the front desk was pleasant, and, as they had a room available at a... more
Location of this hotel is very good, just 1-2 minutes walk to beach. Generally the other hotels in this area are expensive except this hotel. So I choose this hotel. After we checked in this hotel, I understood why this hotel was cheep. A lot of problems, conclusion is old facility. Blow out lamps, jarred beds, hard washstand tap, rickety... more
We were just visiting Clearwater for one day on our way back from Disney to relax on the beach. The office staff was really friendly, gave us a discount, and also allowed me to see the room before paying. It wasn't anything fancy, but was clean. The beds were average comfortable, not the worse I've slept on. The pool was... more
I needed a cheap place to stay for a visit to my grandparents who live on Clearwater Beach. This hotel was one of the best priced hotels that was near them, so I booked it. We were really just there to sleep, so I didn't care that the hotel was not fancy. The only thing that really bothered me was... more
We booked 3 nights here for a stay in Clearwater. When we arrived, we were pleased with the location of the hotel which is across the road from the beach!! The building looked a little run down from the outside when we parked up in the car park but didnt mind too much! Checked in and I have to say,... more
My husband and I stayed in the 2 bedroom suite at the Red Roof Inn the weekend of July 28-30, 2006. The absolute best thing about this hotel is the location for the price and the helpful and polite staff. So although the rooms themselves were not too spectacular, I would still return simply because it's affordable and a 3... more
I made a reservation with this motel in January of this year, called back to cancel it well within the cancellation period, and they charged me anyway. It ended up being a very messy situation even though there was no evidence of my stay. At the time, this place was not affiliated with the official Red Roof Inns, and I... more
