Perfect location on the Intercoastal and close to beach. Good parking. Public areas are very nice and my room (I was upgraded to a suite) was spacious and comfortable. However, the shower, despite a big shower head, had almost no water pressure. I was assured that this was not a general problem for the hotel, but it certainly was for... more

we stayed at pillars 3 or maybe 4 times now. at first it was reasonable and then it started to get busy and noticed and the prices went thru the roof in in what i consider off season, we stayed in june one year and it was soo over priced. i agree with some reviewers that the rooms are a... more

We were guests of the hotel for 3 days prior to a cruise of the Eastern Carribean which departed from Port Everglades. This is a lovely boutique hotel and, while not luxurious, is a refined, understated, and tranquil experience. Our room was located in the original plantation house and was quite small. It sufficed for our short stay, but had... more

This place is like no other in Ft. Lauderdale. The staff are so helpful and friendly. I must confess, I go to The Pillars often because it's a beautiful place to stay, and the location can't be beat. They have their own water taxi stop which is great fun. You can walk to the beach across A1A and one short... more

When is a hotel, not a hotel? When it's the Pillars. The accommodation is a small boutique hotel, based more on the Motel principal than the Hotel. The location, gardens and pool area are pretty faultless, in what used to be pretty much a waste ground for decent accommodation. The rooms themselves are nice enough, without being exceptional with virtually... more

Based on the amenities and service I will give the Pillars a 4. But, be aware that during Spring Breaks and holidays it can be filled with children which hardly provides for an"oasis" or romantic get away feel. It seems that during my stay in mid-March, at least half of the 20 rooms were occupied by couples with one or... more

We just stayed at this hotel for the 4th time and were once again impressed by the beautiful rooms, the extremly friendly staff and the wonderful athmosphere of this hotel. Enjoyed breakfast at the dock and a relaxing day at the quiet pool. This hotel is just perfect! more

Our stay at The Pillars really made our trip!! My husband and I were on a short get away from the kids and he wanted to go somewhere close to New York. I found this hotel on line and I decided to choose Fort Lauderdale simply because I wanted to stay at The Pillard. I did not think that this... more

Very quiet relaxing small boutique hotel on the intercoastal waterway just a few minutes walk to the ocean. The other hotels we had considered with an ocean view also had the 2 or 4 lane hwy 1 going in front of them before you hit the beach....very noisy area so glad we didn't pay the extra $$'s just to have... more

My wife and I spent time over Christmas at The Pillars. We had the New River Sound Suite, which is absolutely incredible. It has two bathrooms, which means getting ready in the morning is not time consuming. Amy realized that my wife has a bit of a problem with stairs (there are two flights to climb). She had a chance... more
