We wre really looking forward to our stay here and had the Caicos room reserved six months in advance, via Expedia. We arrived at the hotel just on sunset to find the vehicle gates locked and a note taped to the office door (which was closed and locked from 5pm onwards) advising us that our preaid reservation could not be... more

We recently spent ten days in Florida at three different locations. Tarpon Flats was our first port of call, where we stayed for 3 nights. We really weren't sure what to expect, but were very pleased with our room and the place in general. The B&B is in a secluded spot and has its own idyllic private beach. The first... more

I only stayed for one night but I wish I could've stayed for more! The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and it all had a home-like feel to it. I got the sweetheat deal and everything was as it should be. There was wine & a fruit/cheese platter waiting for us when we arrived. The breakfast was a... more

This place is a wonderful gem! Wonderful location, grounds, hospitality and service. The rooms are VERY clean and updated. (We had two rooms - one on first and second floor.) We will definitely be back again. more

Stayed here over Xmas and had a great time. The rooms are great and even have Fox Soccer on the TV for Brits such as myslef missing their soccer fix. The breakfasts are lovely and a welcome break from the pancakes and frazzled bacon that you get everywhere else. The free use of the kayaks is another asset and we... more

Wow....Wow....Wow !!!!! Found this great place when the first choice we had was booked (remains un-named) and they said call Carol at Tarpon Flats. I'm glad we did. I think we had the best room in the house but when I talked to other guests they thought the same about their rooms. This is the place to stay if you... more

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Tarpon Flats. The location is private and the grounds beautiful. We enjoyed laying in the hammock underneath the palm trees and spending time in the new pool. The area does become active with boats and children (marine camp) during the day but by sundown everything is quiet. We stayed in one... more

When we were looking for hotels around the area, all we could find were overpriced boating resorts or cheesy hotels. Tarpon Flats was perfect. We had a room on the third floor that was beautiful and had a nice view of the water. There was some noise activity in the marina but it didn't last past 10PM. There wasn't a... more

We booked Tarpon Flats after our booking in the Everglades was cancelled after Hurricane Wilma. We did not know what to expect but thought it was heaven. The only disappointment was that I booked the morning flat fishing for my husband at about $350 and they hardly saw any fish, never mind caught any. In 4 hours he only cast... more

This place is between a neighborhood and a marina. The neigbors are quiet but the marina can get a little noisy at night. Our room was on the third floor and it was beautiful. Large room, wonderful bed, wood floors, wooden window seats, french doors, lovely kitchenette, very clean and well decorated. There was a small beach, kayaks, hot tub,... more
