I stayed one night at Impala, after spending most of the week in the very impressive Mandarin Oriental. So wasn't expecting much after staying in pure luxury. What I found was a very pleasant surprise. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and the place had a lovely atmosphere. Everything was very clean and the decor was very stylish (lots of... more

My husband and I are frequent visitors of South Beach (at least twice a year) and we typically stay at the Hotel Astor. I thought for a change this trip, I’d try a new place. Lesson learned, go with what you know and never stray. I booked my room at the Hotel Impala through Hotels.com about a week in advance... more

ABOUT HOTEL IMPALA: How you see it will depend on your perspective, see. I've read the other reviews and, yes, it's true- Hotel Impala doesn't provide hair dryers or white fluffy robes or coffee makers and there's some construction going on next door and Beyonce won't be lying poolside because there isn't a pool to lie beside. So. If you... more

Our room was small but adequate. No amenities, such as irons or hair dryers. Staff was courteous and helpful when needed. Complimentary breakfast at hotel next door was just fine. BUT - the nightclub behind the hotel was pounding in our ears until 5 or 6 in the morning! We had been aware of the problem so we asked to... more

Booked rooms for a wedding in January on a recommendation. The place was ok but the rooms were very dark but nice. There is lot's of construction going on in area so be prepared. Location is key for this hotel right on main strip and 1 block off ocean which is convenient. If you're looking for an affordable stop in... more

We read the reviews on tripadvisor and decided to stay here. Just after we booked our trip the reviews were not so good anymore. Instead of cancelling we thought to see for ourselves. For the rate you pay for one night this hotel is absolutely overrated. The breakfast is totally ridiculous. You have to go to the hotel next door... more

Coming to the end of a 3-night stay at the Impala during my first visit to Miami. The manager, Ros, is very nice but my recommendation is not to stay here because:> A large club (Mansion) is right behind the hotel so a heavy bass beat thumps from 1.00-4.00am making sleep practically impossible> Breakfast (eaten in the lobby... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for the first night of our honeymoon and I was surprised by the size of the room. It was large enough for the bed and had about 4 feet max on all sides to walk/store luggage...and that's it. It was not the type of room that you would want to stay in... more

I booked my stay with them after reading all the great reviews online, which now seem very "odd". I booked a deluxe room, which ended up being a tiny box with no refrigerator, iron, or bathtub. When I arrived there the parking was a nightmare, I asked about it, since the website said "vale parking $15", but there is no... more

Stayed for two nights at the Impala and was disapointed. For a hotel of this standard the room was not in good shape. Several lighting fixtures did not work. Room showed wear and tear in several areas. No coffee maker, no hairdryer and the phone did not function. Even after complaining that the phone did not work, no attempt was... more
