PROS: Fabulous location for live music, food, & city walks. Good visual appeal, comfy beds, friendly staff, and tasty coffee. CONS: a few quality control issues: one trash can not emptied from previous guests, not enough hot water for bath tub, pool unheated, inoperable windows -so no natural ventilation. NOTE: The breakfast is all prepackaged food you help yourself to.... more

We stayed at the Veranda Bed and Breakfast for 4 nights and it was fantastic. The room was comfy not to mention the hottub sized bathtub! Great location in Thornton Park. We walked to the bars in Downtown Orlando, ate pizza across the street at Anthonys, had BBQ across the street at Wild Sides and a great seafood dinner at... more

I read some of the other reviews and was hesitant but decided to take a chance. I was pleasantly surprised. The property has been newly renovated and had an excellent innkeeper there to greet me. I love the neighborhood and proximity to down town. I found the price to be comparable to other bed and breakfasts in the area and... more

The setting is very nice, way more peaceful than a hotel. The room had central air-so no noisy air conditioner. The bed was as comfortable as the bed I have at home, pillows were equally as nice. Huge tub perfect for lounging in. I definitely suggest staying here if you're in the area. more

Arrived with my daughter and checked out within the hour. The wooden chairs around the pool and outside of our room had rusted nails sticking out 1 inch in various places on each of them. The room itself was tiny, window air conditioner very loud, and ceiling above the airconditioner peeling and falling down. The ledge under the entrance door... more

Quick take - The primary business purpose of this property appears to be wedding receptions. People looking for a traditional B&B will be disappointed, especially with the breakfast. Out of state visitors primarily interested in visiting theme parks should look elsewhere. People looking to experience downtown old Orlando as a “local” for a short stay may find it of interest.... more

The hotel is really nice with a very peacefull atmosphere. It is like a small village with independant cottages. The style, decoration and location are wonderfull. Walking distance to restaurants and bars, and a nice staff. A very good choice for people who want something different than the hotel chain for a very good value. more

If you have any other choice in accomodations, take it! We stayed in this establishment on New Years Eve. Nice little neighborhood but the compliments end there. A discussion with another guest indicated that our opinion was shared. This is a $75.00 per night B&B, not a $250 and up. The rooms are tiny, the bathrooms are mildewy, and the... more

This was the worst place that I have ever stayed. My wife and I were planning on staying for two nights following our wedding. However, we found this place to be horrible, and left after one very short night. There were several problems with the room we stayed at (the Erte). The first was that we felt that anyone walking... more

We loved staying at the Veranda. John the property manager was so kind and helpful. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. The surrounding area was so quaint and charming. There are great restaurants right across the street and the lake is 1 block away perfect for jogging and walking. We would definitely stay there again. more
