This was the worst experience that I have had with a casino hotel. Although I received a discounted rate, the room was not free of charge. There was an odor in the room that seemed to be a combination of dirty scrub water and vomit. The bedding was dingy and wrinkled like it had already been slept on. The covers... more

First off the hotel room looks nothing like the website shows. Forget about a flat screen or plush down comforters as they show. Rooms are needing updating. The bathtub was the only good thing. The hotel had an odor in the room and hallways. We have stayed at another casino hotel in Shreveport and their is no comparison. Boomtown's casino... more

I made reservations and told the lady we would be in around 7:00 that evening. I asked the lady who I spoke with and who took my reservations, if they had room service-she assured me that room service was from 7:00-11:00 so we were well taken care of. We had intended on getting to the room, relaxing for awhile, ordering... more

I have lived in Shreveport for 5 years and have received many free invitations to come and stay at Boomtown Casino. I just decided to use it for the first time this year. I called to reserve the room and was told that I could get upgrades but if I checked in early enough (Fully understandable because if someone was... more

We stayed at Boomtown for our anniversary and our stay was disappointing. Valet for the hotel was great. Hotel in check in was great. It was our anniversary and we asked for a upgrade and got it. The room had a large spa tub which was nice. The bedding could be improved. At $200 dollars a night I don’t want... more

We picked Boomtown to spend a night on our way back to Dallas from South Carolina. I was traveling with my wife and 2 boys. Our hopes were that since this is a casino property, the hotel would be better than a standard Holiday Inn or Courtyard. We were able to do this recently at the Biloxi Palace casino...very pleased.... more

I'd made plans to attend the Shreveport Mardi Gras and a friend of mine suggested staying at Boomtown. I'd never been there before but he is very knowledgable about the area, so I booked a jacuzzi suite on his recommendation. Well, I had the time of my life! The casino is a little smaller than some of the them in... more

I have read some good and some bad reviews so I didn't realy know what to expect. But was plesantly suprised when I arrived. Nice clean rooms, smaller casino but had a realy good time there and did better there than at other casinos we visited. Buffet was better than Horse Shoe in quality of food and choice, another nice... more

My husband and I stayed at Boomtown for one night during the week. They offer a great deal during the week (you have to ask for it, but it is on their website) called the Sunset Special. For about $90 you get a room and a $30 voucher for any meal. When we were making reservations, we asked about a... more

We made our reservations two weeks in advance along with a reservation to the steak house which we had received a coupon for...the nice young lady set a time for us....when we arrived, our credit card would not work (it worked everywhere else) and had to pay cash upfront for the room and a $100 deposit...we dressed for the steakhouse... more
