This historic house, surrounded by gardens, offers perhaps the most luxurious accommodations in Provincetown. Our national and international reputation, mainly spread by word of mouth and personal recommendation, attracts guests with discerning tastes. Many return year after year to enjoy the warm, relaxed and secluded elegance of this very English of houses. As more than one guest put it, "The Oxford is all about pampered peace". more » « less

The best word to describe the Oxford: Perfect. Literally. My girlfriend and I went to Provincetown for an off season long-weekend in order to see the beaches and town and to "decompress". The gentlemen that run this absolutely outstanding guesthouse could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We arrived to the cleanest and homiest guesthouse, to Potter (the friendliest... more

My daughter and I showed up without reservations. (We'd made them elsewhere but apparently they were never confirmed.) From letting me check my e-mail before checking in, to giving us a great room, to sending a camera which had been lost under the bed, the service was lovely. I'd definitely go back and would love to see Provincetown post summer... more

We spent a week in late June at the Oxford - our second stay there - and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Oxford's location in the residential west end of Provincetown guarantees a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, yet restaurants, shops, galleries and beaches are easily accessible. The house and its garden are superbly maintained, and owners Stephen and Trevor (assisted by... more

I whisked my boyfriend away to The Oxford Guest House for his birthday weekend in April. I chose The Oxford because of the stellar reviews it had received on TripAdvisor and I can now understand why past guests seem to gush about how fantastic the place is. Our trip was perfect and this was largely due to Stephen and Trevor's... more

This was our tenth stay at the Oxford. Every stay has been perfect. The house is spotless, beautifully decorated and the owners and house staff are always there to help with anything you may need but never intrude on your privacy. To add to the experience the breakfast could not be better, there is wine as well as fresh baked... more

This is the 10th year that my partner and I have stayed at the Oxford. It is truly our home away from home and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in p-town. One must simply experience it for themselves. Stephen and Trevor continue to out-do themselves year after year with the property, guest amenities and their welcoming demeanor. So, make a... more

Another perfect stay at The Oxford where comfort, courtesy and the personal commitment from the owners are the key criteria that make this guesthouse Number 1 in Provincetown. If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay that is close enough to all the P'Town action but also just far enough away to provide peace and relaxation time, then... more

Our stay at the inn was warm and welcoming. The ambiance of the inn and gardens are not to be missed or topped by any other inn. Trevor & Stephen have been innkeepers for years and yet they make you feel like it's all brand new and you're their first guests. We made plans to return before we left. Breakfast,... more

Where to begin...My boo and I choose the Oxford due to a recommendation from a co-worker of mine. Let's just say, I owe my coworker a gourmet lunch... Stephen and Trevor along with their home are delightful. Their garden is in surperb condition, one the most beautiful patios and backyards I have ever seen. The guesthouse is situated on a... more

We had an amazing time staying with Trevor and Stephen (and Potter) at the Oxford Guesthouse. My girlfriend and I really needed a vacation away from our jobs in Boston and we were looking for a nice and quiet B&B. The Oxford fit the bill perfectly. We felt like we were staying with old friends who'd given us the run... more
