Jacob Hill Inn is conveniently close to Providence and less than an hour drive away from Newport. Even being so close to these big attractions, the Inn itself is nestled in a quiet alcove where it is easy to enjoy some peace and quiet. The bedroom we stayed in was very cozy, especially with the extra touch of a log... more

It was our first time in the New England area (in the Fall) so we wanted to see as much as possible, therefore we travelled around staying in 9 different hotels/inns and were not disappointed! Wonderful views, weather great and hospitality excellent. The Jacob Hill Inn stood out from the rest for several reasons: Bill and Eleonora made us feel... more

We went someplace close to home and were taken aback by the beauty of the whole property. The gracefully aged house and barn are expertly and lovingly restored by Bill and Elenora to old world charm featuring modern comforts . We made our own reservations at a wonderful local restaurant. Upon arrival we were seated in a nice quiet area... more

This place was a welcome surprise. It is a converted barn that has been meticulously updated/renovated by the owners. It is rather stunning, clean, bright, and confortable. You just can't do better than this. The rooms are large and comfortable. Everything looks old but is modern. Beds are great (but the comforters were too warm for me - as in... more

The storm was forceful enough to knock the power out and the Inn was dark as we arrived. A break in the rain, cheerful faces, and electric candles let us know that all was not lost. My wife an I arrived on a stormy weekend night to celebrate her birthday. This was our second trip to Jacob Hill with our... more

Jacob Hill Inn is one of the most romantic places to vacation. After spending a day visiting Boston it is a great place to relax and unwind. The breakfast fare is made to order, if needed, and served in a beautiful dining room in a wonderully made over barn. I think my favorite part is the Jacuzzi tub in it's... more

My wife and I recently stayed with Bill and Eleonora at Jacob's Hill Inn for our combination one year anniversary and weekend getaway after the birth of our first son and purchase and rennovation of our new home. We were looking for a relaxing weekend away and what we got was simply amazing. They had come highly recommended by some... more

Our recent stay at the Historic Jacob Hill Inn was the best lodging of our whole trip to the New England area. It is on a beautiful, relaxing, soothing piece of property and the owners, Bill and Eleanora have gone to a great deal of work to bring out the beauty of the buildings on it. We stayed in the... more

Hospitality was great, room excellent, and great tips about what to do for local sightseeing. We went down to Providence, good directions, and thoroughly enjoyed dinner and view of Water Fire show. Wonderful breakfast, very relaxing, not rushed at all. Host &rest of staff made one feel truly welcome. more
