This hotel is everything we were looking for. It was close to the Dunes and Lake Michigan and all of the other fun stuff for the kids (go carts, mini golf, arcade, race cars etc...) it was quiet, clean and the pool was great. It was our first time to Silver Lake, but the owners and staff at the Sierra Sands were friendly and gave us good advice. The lighthouse, dune ride, beaches, local restaurants, etc. were all great, and we can't wait to come back. more

We have traveled from Florida to Silver Lake for five years and have stayed at the Seirra Sands each year. The owners Bob and Marilyn are great. I have researced the area each year and found them to be the best value. more

TRAVELERS BEWARE! Make sure that you cpme prepared with your confirmation. We booked 2 hotels for the area due to the size of our party (8). Seirra Sands was for 2 nights in mid July. We stayed at the Sierra Sands, July 26, 2006. It was nice and comfortable. We had a non-smoking room but someone had smoked in it. The owners were very nice. Our 3 kids loved the pool and the breakfast cinnamon rolls:) We'd stay here again:) more
