My only complaint about this hotel is that I had forgotten how noisy steam heat is! The clankety-clank all night was not conducive to a good night's sleep, but as we were on our honeymoon, that wasn't an issue. The full breakfast the next morning (included in the price of the room) made up for it - when I saw... more

I travel almost weekly for business and stay in a LOT of different hotels. I'm not squeamish or in need of 4 star hotels, but I require a clean room with decent service. While the staff at the Savoy was friendly, I found the hotel lacking overall. There is a quaint charm that I can't really appreciate. For instance, the... more

My husband and I recently went to Kansas City to see Wicked. We chose the Hotel Savoy because it was a short walk to the Music Hall. Upon check-in we were upgraded to the nicest room in the hotel. The room was beautiful The living room had a flat screen TV with 12 foot ceilings. There were complimentary cookies and... more

My dad stayed at the Savoy at the end of October. Their front desk staff was courteous, helpful and, extremely honest. My dad reported that he signed some traveler's checks, left the front desk & was called a few minutes later to tell him he left one too many! The place is quite old, but well-maintained. Prices are extremely decent...I... more

We stayed for 2 nights last week and were thoroughly impressed. Be warned that the hotel is being renovated. Things may not sparkle the way they do in the chain hotels, but the charm and history of this building, along with the dedication of the staff make up for any visual shortcomings. We had a beautiful real suite with a... more

We arrived late and the place was scarey at midnight. The air was terrible in the hallways--with no ventilation it was hot and stuffy. The room though was magnificent and the breakfast was unbelievable and included. When was the last time you had lobster bisque soup and a huge lamb chop with your eggs in a sit down breakfast for... more

We are fans of old buildings and historic hotels, having stayed in several in various parts of the country. The Savoy's website made the hotel out to be beautiful, restored, romantic, and "up-scale". We drove half way across the country to stay there, anticipating a wonderful evening. As soon as we entered the hotel, we knew we had made a... more

This historic hotel is in the process of being renovated, and we were aware of that when we booked. However, based on other traveler reviews, I was not expecting the hotel to be as "rough around the edges" as it was during our stay (March 07). Our sleeping room was ok - not scrupulously clean, but not horrible. I purposely... more

We stayed at the Hotel Savoy Bed and Breakfast for one night in July of 2006. We had booked the least expensive room as we are budget minded. Without even asking, we were upgraded to a wonderful 2 room suite. A most lovely, elegant suite it was. A huge comfy bed, claw foot tub, restored antique furniture, and a decorative... more
