We just attended a family reunion in Helena MT. We had heard of the Elkhorn Motel in Montana City. It was near the reunion. The motel was spotlessly clean and the service grand. We live within a couple miles of the Elkhorn Inn. When our youngest son got married (June 2007), we reserved a block of rooms for guests. Most were pleased with the accommodations and room prices. Recently spent 4 nights here. For the price it was OK. The entire place could use a good refurbishment inside and out. The paint was peeling in my shower and the blinds in my room were broken. The Elkhorn Mountain Inn is located just five miles south of Helena on I-15. I much prefer it to the big hotels in Helena that cost twice as much and have one-half the flavor of this location.
