My first visit to Laughlin, NV The Pioneer Hotel, Casino is probably the most interesting place on Casino Row...It's really mostly a large motel with a western themed Casino. Very friendly staff. Worn but clean rooms with the western theme. Good security with armed men on the grounds all night and day. You park near you room outdoors. Pay extra... more

My Wife and I had come from the Uk to get married in Las vegas and spend our Honeymoon on a road trip. To cut a long story short, some one at our Hotel recommended Laughlin. So we made our way there and found the lauglin visitors center who found us a room at the River Palms. Well we hated... more

Old, beat up, it smells and the plumbing barely works. Surely you can find something better even if you have to pay a few more bucks. more

We were staying in Nevada for 5 days and had a free room offer from the Aquarius casino in Laughlin. I like Laughlin and decided to go. But I had liked the thought of staying in one of those rooms at the Pioneer which open right up on to the boardwalk and of course right next to the river. Every... more

For an unexpected overnight stay in Laughlin, I phoned the Pioneer the morning of my arrival day and got a non-smoking room for $27.50 total. This low price trumps any of my minor complaints. I arrived at the advertised 3PM checkin time and was politely and quickly checked in. The outside temperature was 115 degrees but my room air conditioner... more

Traveling to the River with boat in tow and a Saint Bernard in the back seat, the Pioneer was the perfect choice for us! I called 5 months in advace to book the "dog room" and was told that they wouldn't take a reservation more than 90 days in advance. Being somewhat limited on choices of hotel with an extra... more

We have stayed at The Pioneer in the past and it was fine, but this time it was horrible and we will never stay there again. We originally called to book a deluxe suite but were told they have a new policy that no one under 21 is allowed in suites and we have two small children. They said they... more

Unlike some other reviewers, I found the Pioneer to be a great place for their low cost. Also unlike others, I found my room to be very clean, considering it's an old place. My friend and I were driving up from Joshua Tree to Lake Havasu with the intention of staying there and carousing there, only to discover it was... more

I was very dissapointed in the comps I received over a two day period. I enrolled in the Comp program upon arrival and was issued a card that allowed a five dollar free play on the slots. This much was not bad. I continued to insert the card each and every time I played a slot machine. I played everything... more
