Bad odor in room, smelled like diesel fuel. Air conditioner came on about every 15 minutes with loud fan noise and no means of changing speed. Rugs were stained and had holes and burnt areas. This hotel needs renovating. Rooms were old and smelled of cleaning solutions and cigar. Had to air out room. To be competitive with other hotels, HJ needs a good continental breakfast. Stay elsewhere, you'll enjoy more. more

It was my first stay at a HoJo and it was extremely unpleasant. The rooms are worn in a way I have not experienced before. Stains from "you don't want to know" on the carpets, walls and furniture. All in all, the stay was OK. The food was very good and affordable. I stayed three nonconsecutive, alternating weeks for business travel. Room was very clean. There were a few problems.
