Do not stay here. My husband and I arrived at Zangto Pelri Hotel at about 4pm, after a long drive from Phobakha. It was very hot. We stayed here for one night. Since we arrived before the large tour groups, we had the choice of a room in the main building, or a bungalow. The bungalows are more cozy and you are surrounded by rice paddies and the crickets lull you to sleep at night. Our room was small but there was a huge new TV.... more

I stayed here in December 2005. I had a twin room with wooden walls and floor. The bed had a foam cover over the mattress to try and soften it which helped and a duvet. The room was small but had lots of windows and was rather sweet. There was a small tv with a few English language film channels.... more

I stayed at the Zangto Pelri Hotel one night while traveling from Thimphu to Jakar. The staff was very friendly and brought me tea while my luggage was being brought in.
