We stayed at the La Quinta in Santa Rosa on the way driving from central Texas to Durango CO for vacation in June 2008. We would certainly stay at this property again. Our room was clean and comfortable (two beds - myself, husband, and two sons, ages 15 and 6). The grounds are well maintained. The hotel is also pet-friendly... more

Traveling east on I-40, we were planning to drive as far as Tucumcari to spend the night. But a blinding March snowstorm derailed our plans. We got off the highway at Santa Rosa, and ultimately were very glad that we did. The hotel is quite new and very pretty. We had a spacious room with a king bed, which had... more

This is without doubt the best hotel in town, the staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms spotless, it is located high above town with excellant views, we drove to see Billy the Kids grave not far away and the whole area is worth exploring, situated on the old route 66 there are many historical buildings around, we ate... more

Very nice place clean just outside the freeway but very quiet. Great swimming pool inside and a jacuzzi outside. People were very nice and the room clean and comfortable. more

This hotel was a good stop-over point on a long trip. The room was large and very clean. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast area had a nice selection of foods and beverages, including hot waffles. We would stay there again. more

Within 15 minutes of our arrival, discovered the 1st problem as we tried to enjoy the pool. The entire pool room smelled of a strong odor of methane gas/sewer gas. I asked the front desk clerk to come and investigate as the odor was in a word "disgusting". The clerk indicated that the smell was from the pipes and she... more

We stayed at this hotel and the room was huge with a microwave and a refrigerator. The beds were great and the morning offered a waffle/continental breakfast with fresh juice and great coffee. We liked it so much that we stayed there on our way back through coming home! It looks brand new but it is actually 9 yrs old.... more

This was just an ordinary, adequate room although the tub/toilet area was very small and poorly lit and the bed gave me the first backache of our trip. Next time we're going through Santa Rosa, we'll find someplace else to stay. more

The entire place looked new to me, inside & out, but the mgr said it was 8 yrs old--clearly lots of love and care in the maintenance dept. This was my first stay at a La Quinta, and I have already booked it for my July trip. Room & bed very good. The mgr's recomm'n for dinner sent me to... more

We've stayed at this motel a couple times a year for the past several years. We have never had a bad experience. Rooms are large and the bed comfortable. Motel now has free internet connection. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is above average. What sets this motel apart from the pack is its indoor pool and the outdoor whirlpool surrounded by... more
