I enjoyed by stay at the Village Inn. It is easy to find, and although it is not new, it is well kept. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean and the restaurant had adequate food. The desk people were polite and pleasant. Even the windows were clean. They have a small workout room but no TV in it.... more

Our first room smelled like vomit. The dresser drawers even made our clothes smell. We complained to the desk and were given a room that had "refreshed". They are in the process of doing all the rooms, so if you stay there, ask for a room that has been updated. more

We stayed in this hotel for a wedding. The bride got a good group room rate of $65/nite. The downside for me is that the non-smoking rooms are mixed on the same floor with the smoking rooms. I happen to be allergic to smoke. I ended up wetting a towel and putting it in front of the door. That helped... more

We stayed here for 3 nights when visiting NC for a wedding in August. I would have no hesitation in staying again. The rooms were clean, reasonably priced and adequate. The Village Inn Golf & Conference Center was very nice. With AAA discount, $59/night; choice of 2 double beds or 1 king. Spacious room, very clean, excellent daily maid service. Restaurant and pub in the hotel. (I didn't eat there, so cannot comment on food. But there is very little "fine dining" around--mostly fast food chains. Across from Village Inn... more
