After reading TripAdvisor's review of this property we made reservations for our two visit to the area and were more delighted. It is clean, comfortable and centrally located. The $69 charge for the room and $3.50 per person breakfast fee was simply a bargain not to mention the friendly travel and restaurant suggestions from the staff. more

We were 6 adults on a motorcycle trip around the Gaspe and spent our first night on the road here. The new suites are exactly like the photos and were clean with hardwood floors, flat screen TV, mini kitchen and King bed. The showers were great and for an additional $4.00 there was a buffet breakfast that was not elaborate... more

In a search for reasonably priced accommodation in Charlevoix, I chose this property based on the favourable reviews on TripAdvisor. We were most definitely not disappointed! The room was very clean and a good size (with two Queen beds, a table and chairs, and a little balcony), the beds were very comfortable, and the staff at reception were extremely helpful... more

Castel de la Mer was about half the price of anything else we could find in la Malbaie (including Auberges & Gites) and we were a bit weary. On arrival we were pleasently surprised. They do offer slightly cheaper "economy" rooms, but we opted for the moderate one that was $79 CAD, or $87 with tax. For $3.50 per person... more
