We were looking for a chillout hotel for 1 night and this was just the ticket. We booked via a travelzoo deal so got a great rate including dinner. The room was a standard double but was spotlessly clean and a very good standard of decor. The hotel is a bit of a maze but hey getting lost adds to... more

Our second stay this year. This was a freebie as when we first stayed earlier this year, we paid for an executive room, which according to the De Vere website was guaranteed ground floor with patio doors opening on to a private terrace and king bed. We were allocated a top floor room, a climb of 47 steps from the... more

Booked through De-vere website on one of their deals for two nights! Stunning looking building on arrival although our sat nav didn't quite get us to its position accurately. Checked in without any problems although had to wait a few minutes before anybody realised we were there due to where reception is positioned. Found our room ok although it could... more

This was really much improved to be honest, we had a great stay, good value, great food, a little limited for bar space sure! But the service and rooms are super more

I was staying at Mottram Hall as part of a conference and as such benefitted from an attractive conference rate. Finding the hotel was a challenge - it's down some rural country lanes a short distance from Wilmslow and Alderley Edge. The setting is wonderful - a huge golf course, and the hotel is set in some pretty gardens too.... more

Check in was delayed as rooms were not ready,Room was miles away up and down stairs and I had loads of luggage to carry alone from the car park, which was a very long walk! Food in the Club house was poor and overpriced - two small pieces of bacon on a bap, put on a plate with no offer... more

This looks a nice hotel when approaching it in its grounds, but once inside its poor. Reception very small and had to wait quite a while to be checked in,reception is very cramped. Rooms no better than travelodge but 4 times the price. Run a bath and the water was all brown, recieved a letter under the door telling us the hotel... more

We were looking forward to staying here after a wedding nearby. The website gave a good impression and driving up through the grounds the hotel looked beautiful. But inside the hotel looks tired and dated. The room was comfortable though small, and my biggest issue was with the restautant. Nathaniel's is meant to provide a 'fine dining' experience. Instead the... more

Stayed for a weekend as we were attending a wedding nearby. Overall we were very disappointed with the hotel. The bedroom was small & looked very tired. The overall layout of the hotel is clumsy - spent half the weekend going up and down stairs in corridors getting to places. We had dinner in the restaurant on the Friday night... more

Staff found to be either rude, poorly trained and unhelpful. But my biggest problem was with the food.I had a three course dinner from a set menu which sounded lovely but the quality of the food was not what you would expect from a hotel of this standing ,cheap cuts of meat were all dressed up to look the part but you... more
