No reception, hotel actually closed on our arrival which we were warned about. Arrived at 2.30pm. Bar closed, no drinks available until 6pm on reopening except for tea/coffee available in room. We were very disappointed by our experience here, having been misled by the website. First, the things that are true: the building is indeed very old and charming, with an abundance of character quirks like little hidden staircases. My husband and I stayed here over the New Year with my sister and her husband. We had a really great time, we stayed for the Gala Dinner and disco. Food was excellent throughout our stay.
