I get to stay in a lot of hotels all over Europe, mainly 4 and 5 stars (3 stars when its out of my pocket) and this has got to be one of the better hotels from a service point of view. There were always staff at hand, never having to wait; I never saw a queue at reception for... more

My girlfriend and I stayed here for our first anniversary and whilst we were impressed with the hotel, we both agreed that we would rather have stayed at the hilton again. dont get me wrong , the hotel was fantastic. the service was amazing, the bed was comfy and the location was perfect. (much like the hilton) but the decor... more

Agree with the majority of reviews that this is a fabulous hotel with extremely skilled and friendly staff. It's a 2 min walk to the city centre so the location is great too. The breakfast was delicious and service was impeccable. Whilst I agree with some reviewers that some parts of the public areas are quite stark, it's also bright... more

I was in Manchester with colleagues on business. The hotel was booked for me. I expected another "samey" city centre business hotel, I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was huge and well apponted; the staff very attentive (tongue in cheek I'd say overly attentive!) The whole place manages to combine almost ruthless efficiency with a relaxed and friendly air.... more

We stayed here for one night and found the hotel to be very good. The staff were all very pleasant even when out child was being slighlty noisy at breakfast! The room was big and modern and though we didnt eat in the restaurant, room service was fine. more

Stayed at the Lowry for two nights over a weekend in July. The main reason for coming to Manchester was to see Kylie in concert and therefore we were looking for a hotel close to the MEN arena and also the shops. Having looked at a number of other options and read various reviews we eventually decided on the Lowry... more

We went to this hotel as a treat and it was fantastic, they upgraded our room to a riverside view without us even asking. It is in a good location, a bit difficult to find, but central when getting a taxi to the centre. We had afternoon tea and then breakfast in the room and you got loads to eat.... more

I recently stayed at the Lowry Hotel in Salford, Manchester. It is located a short distance from the city centre, although if getting a cab from the mainline Piccadilly rail station, it feels like miles away. The hotel appears smart and modern. Public areas are bare and harsh with occasional artwork. My bedroom was large and functional. As with other... more

We stayed at the Lowry for a weekend break away in Manchester and found it to be an excellent hotel. The reception and lobby areas were very spacious although there did seem to be too many bare walls. The reception staff were very efficient and friendly and offered all the required information and assistance to our room. The corridors to... more
