Imagine staying with friends in their stylishly decorated, architecturally distinguished Country House and you will begin to understand the Eshott Hall experience. Not only that, but your host is an accomplished chef using locally sourced and home grown produce. The setting is one of complete tranquillity with Red squirrels playing on the lawns outside the bedroom windows. Dinner is preceded... more

We needed a 'stress buster' and certainly found it here at Eshott Hall. From the moment we arrived for our 3 night stay we knew we'd found a real diamond. A short drive from the A1 a completely different world awaits - peace, tranquility and the most welcoming hosts you could wish to meet. David greeted us at the door,... more

The house, grounds, rooms, bathrooms staff, all were lovely. It's an incredibly peaceful location. When we checked in we were incredibly pleased. It was almost perfection. The only downside was when we stayed there they had a large dinner party. That night the house was full of people. So, we ate out and then took a walk around the grounds.... more

Tucked away in a beautiful secluded part of Northumberland - but with easy access to the coast and castles - this hotel is a little gem! You stay as a guest - no reception desk /muzak/ large screen tvs etc - dine with your fellow guests in a dinner party atmosphere, relax in the library or lounge. Lovely grounds, charming... more

A delightful and quintessentially English Country house in some gracious and intriguingly well planted gardens. The rooms are sublimely comfortable and homely. Meals in the Dining room give you the opportunity to converse with the other guests..You are welcomed warmly. If I am in the area again I am def. staying here. more

If you have any second thoughts about staying at Eshott Hall you needn't have. My wife and I spent a full wonderful week here over a snowy windy Easter. Having promised ourselves a return to this area to visit all the National trust properties and the coastal walks Eshott Hall is ideally and centrally located. A warm welcocme with tea... more

My husband and I decided to take a short break during January and chanced the english weather. We had found Eshott Hall recommended in the Guardian. We stayed for two nights at Eshott Hall. This old house is situated in the countryside but not far off the A1, so is easy to find. It is gorgeous and the resident family... more

Date 27th/28th December 2007 We have recently returned from our first trip to Eshott Hall and it was a fantastic experience. We actually arrived late on Boxing Day evening and were welcomed by the family with warmth and absolutely no evidence that we had interrupted their Christmas festivities. A glass or two of champagne, hot soup and excellent turkey sandwiches... more

I must admit that writing reviews on Trip Advisor is not something I would normally devote much time to except on this occasion. As part of a weekend break, my partner and I made reservation to stay at Eshott Hall. On arrival we were met by the resident family, who offered us a warm and friendly welcomed to Eshott Hall.... more
