We booked a 3 night package directly with voyages that was supposed to include an upgrade. Unfortunately upon arrival we were told that the next room type was fully booked and we'd have to make do with a pencil pine cabin. The reception manager handled the situation professionally and seeing as the upgrade wasn't possible, he was able to match... more

Great resort by Voyages! However stayed at Wilderness village the night before and is much cheaper and luxurious for the price! Recommend the Chateau also for spa treatments.. a bigger variety and more reasonable prices than the lodge. Advantage of 2 restaurants at the lodge..but still only 5 mins driving distance from village if travel is the concern. Great turn... more

We stayed in a pencil pine cabin (2 adults and a 4 yr old). We stayed in cabin 13, which was right near the main lodge and had a fantastic view of a lake. The rooms seemed spacious due to the high ceilings, but stayed really warm and cosy due to the fantastic gas log fireplace. The main lodge itself... more

Stayed as part of a work weekend in Tasmania so we only had 1 night at Cradle Mountain. I had previously been to Cradle Mountain and I'll be back to stay again. It's a very tranquil, serene and pristine environment and the accommodation is of an excellent standard. The Pencil Pine Cabins have been refurbished recently and are very comfortable... more

We had a 3 night stay in a Spa cabin. We were under the impression that the spa might have been a 2 person spa- but alas it wasn't(- you would need to request one). Apart from that since our last visit 10 years ago, the cabins have had a makeover with gas log fires, bathrooms updated etc. We ate... more

We only had one night which is definitely not enough, and when we arrived it was dark which was a pity. Our check in was extremely friendly and efficient. We were in a spa cabin which was in a group of 3 but still felt very private with our own enclosed verandah (which we didn't get to use because it... more

We stayed in a spa cabin for three nights. The cabin was fairly well appointed and the room was generally good. The only downside, and I have to say it was a pretty big downside, was that we found the rooms to be quite noisy. There's very little sound proofing between cabins, and despite what seemed to be very quiet... more

Stayed one night at Cradle Mountain Lodge in a lovely Spa Cabin booked through wotif at a discounted rate making it very good value. The cabin was situated in a quiet location and felt very private even though it was in a cluster of others. The private verandah was a decent size and looked out over bush which was very... more

We booked through wotif.com and got a pencil pine cabin for around $230. Rooms had a fire and were spacious, no bath but a lovely big bed and a CD player. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. This was the best place we stayed in Tasmania. Very handy for access to the national park. more

We just had the most wonderful mini-trip of a lifetime. See my trip report for full details. We (Mum, Dad, and two kids 12 and 10) spent Easter at Cradle Mountain Lodge, taking advantage of the early Easter this year we duly received mild, warm weather, and the Lodge did not disappoint. We had a "Pencil Pine" cabin which was... more
