I stayed here for a night with my girlfriends and 18 month old daughter. It was very nice for the cost. We paid $65 per room, but the price has just gone up to $75. It's still worth it though. I should warn people that this is an urban setting and there are no other residences in the immediate area.... more

A couple of years ago, I passed this unique place and told the lady I would be back. I felt so comfortable and relaxed, in fact, I thought I was the first person staying there, immaculately clean. I enjoyed reading the book they had about Erie and how life was back in the 1800's. The fire truck was so small... more

My fiancee and I stayed here in November, 2007 ( just writting review now). We came to ERIE for the American Thanksgiving weekend. We are from Canada. The place was awesome, clean, classy and the host Chris, is great. She was polite, kind and fun. The room was clean, modern and had it all. Even a umbrella, extra blankets, flat... more

My husband and I stayed at this property last weekend. We have a son at a local university in his senior year. I wish we had found this place before! You cannot go wrong staying here unless you cannot climb the steps. We had a beautiful room and I can't say enough about the cleanliness. My husband usually doesn't notice... more

I have never loved an inexpensive weekend stay so much! Very clean, very comfortable, unique outdoor activities in any season! You can pay three times this for a room in other B&Bs and get less for your money. more

Very laid back kind of place... Chris is a fantastic host - giving you just the right amount of attention without being overbearing (like some B&Bs). There is always tea/hot chocolate and snacks available, and a microwave. Great for the late evening when you don't want to go out, but want a biscotti and cocoa - which is a must... more

We had a great time staying at the G. Carroll House! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The house had the right updates in the right places. We loved that there were snacks in the front room and hot drinks available any time of the day! And a light grab and go breakfast was a great way to get the... more

The George Carroll House is one of the Gems of the downtown Erie Historic district. Easy to find with private/no charge parking in the heart of the city. The proprietor is a life long Erie resident who has expert knowledge of the city and region. My room was just what a weary business traveler needs, clean comfortable, and lots of... more
