I think the people who wrote negative reviews here didn't fully research the disney home away from home resorts. They are not hotels. DVC resorts are villas and studios. There usually are no elevators, only trash and towel service every 4th day and no bellhops. You basically parked right in front of your building and they had beach carts to... more

Six of us stayed in a 2 BR villa at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort. It was absolutely beautiful!. All the buildings blend in with the trees and landscaping. It was right next to Shelter Cove which was a great walk or bike ride to the shops and restaurants. We liked San Miquel's(mexican). The room was huge and very well... more

Family of 5: Dad 39, Mom 37, Daughter 12, Son 11, Son 5. Great vacation for families. I came home so refreshed. The resort's theme is a 1930-40's era fishing lodge. In the cozy den music from that era quietly plays as guests relax by the fire and play games or billiards or use their laptops (free wireless in the... more

Visited Early 08. Neat and clean, very nice rooms -both size and condition, good front desk service and check in check out. The Quality of the property itself does not match other Disney properties. the units are wooden and you can hear people walking around upstairs at night. They also put all the heat pump compressors on each level of... more

This resort was the final stop on a winter road trip my fiance and I took to escape the cold in the northeast. Having stayed at an amazing hotel in Charleston the few nights previous, driving up to Disney's resort was extremely disappointing. The look of the resort is dark and dreary, and best of all...Its not on the ocean!.... more

We have stayed at Disney's Hilton Head resort for the last 3 years, always at Christmas time. We love it so much! It's gotten a little bit busier than years previous. I suppose more people are discovering that Hilton Head is still a really nice place to visit in the winter! This year we invited Grandma and got a 2... more

We thought the overall experience was nice and relaxing, but kind of boring (especially when the weather was cloudy). We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa that was huge and clean, but it was a bit dark. We attempted to eat dinner on the patio one evening and got eaten alive by the bugs. On the positive side, the staff... more

Planned this trip with a girlfriend for some R&R. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by staff at reception. Much to our surprise we had been upgraded to a two bedroom villa! Very nice touch. The villas are spacious, roomy and comfortable. We had a full kitchen, two roomy bedrooms, two baths & a Jacuzzi tub. My only complaint is... more

My wife and I recently stayed at Disneys Hilton Head Island Resort without our children. The resort is very nice, but i would not say it was up to Disney standards. The location was a little awkward to get to the beach which makes he resort definately not feel like a beach vacation in the classic sense. Also the rooms... more
