Just returned for a two day break in the Glencairn Inn.Fiona and Stefan are superb hosts. They run a marvellous establishment.A really charming house and the food is to die for.The restaurant has a great buzz and is very well supported by locals, which speaks for itself. The breakfasts are the best we have eaten anywhere.Go there and see for yourselves what a... more

This is a lovely little bed & breakfast place (only 5 rooms) about 5km from the pretty town of Lismore in verdant County Waterford. The Franco-Irish hosts Stephane and Fiona are very welcoming. We had dinner in their 'Pastis' restaurant on Sunday evening and the food was a joy to eat, there is a romantic Gallic ambience and the waiting... more

We just returned from a two week holiday in Ireland and Glencairn Inn was the most wonderful B&B. The Glencairn Inn has new owners, Fiona and Stéphane Tricot, and they made our stay amazing. Our room had the most comfortable bed with Irish linens that you just snuggled right into. The room was very quiet, and without a TV, it... more

We stayed in The Glencairn Inn for one night but could have stayed for a week. The rooms were a dream, wrought iron beds and roll top bath, no tv great! We booked our evening meal in advance (reccomended) in the Pastis restaurant which is part of the B&B excellent meal and great atmosphere. Lovely breakfast not to be missed... more

My partner and I stayed at Buggy's a few days ago. We had a wonderful meal (beautiful fresh fish) in the cosy restaurant/bar, and we slept like logs in a very comfortable bed. We found the service excellent and the Buggy's themselves were very charming. We really enjoyed or stay, and are already planning our return trip. I can't fault... more

We have just returned from a couple of nights' stay at Buggy's Inn. Ken Buggy was very helpful with the bookings before we arrived and his son and daughter run an efficient front of house operation. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and the whole set up was very family friendly. We played out on the lawn when it was sunny... more

I am the owner of a small tour operator business in the US, specializing in European vacations.... and if were to send my clients here, I would simply be out of business. Overpriced accommodations, bad food, poorer service and an overbearing attitude from managment to boot... this is not the experience of Irish hospitably that would make you ever wish... more

Management response from

In response to review posted on Tripadvisor by a user from New Jersey - I respectfully question whether the person has got the correct establishment in mind when writing the review. The reviewer claims to have stayed at Buggy's in March 2005. March is off-season. We were open for only 14 days this year in March. We have had only...

We wanted to get the real feel of a small town in Ireland, and had heard that Buggy's B&B was lovely and the food fabulous. Absolutely the case. It was an extremely special dinner that did not break the bank. My husband and I loved it and would go again. more
