We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Madison. We booked via Expedia for one night for New Years Eve 2007. Valet parking was expedient and efficient. Can't complain there. We had a king room and it was large and nicely appointed. The bathroom was as expected and lovely. There was a stocked refrigerator and corkscrew in the room which was... more

We travel a lot and have stayed at some of the best hotels including several Ritzs but the Madison continually has the best and FRIENDLIEST service we have ever experienced not to mention a beautiful metropolitan styled facility with ONLY EIGHT rooms to a floor, all of different shapes. It is close to everything you want to visit in Memphis... more

Stayed at the Madison on business trips 4 times in 2007 and 2008. The service at this hotel is as good or better than any hotel I can remember. Large, clean rooms and comfortable beds await exhausted travelers. Sunsets with a cigar and beverage on the roof- top terrace cap off a busy day. Within walking distance of good restaurants... more

Yes, this is a very hip hotel...at least the lobby and common areas. On the plus side, the staff is very friendly and accommodating and the room was very spacious and comfortable. The Fitness Room was not open when we were there...and no one at the hotel knew that until I went to use it, went downstairs and lo and... more

The Madison Hotel was a wonderful place to spend our wedding night! It's a very hip boutique hotel in the middle of downtown Memphis. The room was very spacious and that's not something that you find at other downtown Memphis hotels. In addition, the room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was polite and helpful. I would encourage anyone... more

This hotel has received negative reviews but I had very good experience. We stayed here for the liberty bowl weekend (unfortunately my UCF couldn't pull it out) during a very busy week. We tried the peabody and westin but they were both full so this was my 3rd option. I was pleasantly surprised in nearly every area. We had one... more

Stayed at the Madison for two nights after Christmas 2007. The hotel has a very attractive interior and an accomodating staff. Restaurant staff were on the snooty side, which at first was irritating, but became funny. We changed rooms for the second night because of the hard-as-a-rock mattress and the second bed was no better. It felt like plywood with... more

The Madison boutique luxury hotel was recommended by a friend who had stayed and had a wonderful experience. Our experience did not live up to the endorsement. First, the 'included' breakfast is no longer included - it's now $15 for a pretty basic buffet - although the last time I looked the literature still listed it as included. If you... more

We have now stayed at the Madison three times. The first was soon after it opened several years ago. At that time the service was wonderful. I could not have asked for a better place to stay in Memphis. When we left, we felt we had been treated well. The second stay was a couple of years ago. The service... more
