I did a touring holiday between Chicago and New Orleans and this was the hotel I stayed in for 2 nights. I loved the bed in the room! It was about 6 feet wide! I am 5ft 8.5 inches tall and laid across it with a few inches to spare. Good bathroom with a decent shower head and could turn... more
I took my Mother to Nashville for a long weekend. We selected the Holiday Inn Express based on its location, the reviews here and the fact that they still offerred smoking rooms (Mom still smokes). Our experience was wonderful from start to finish. The hotel was completely full when we checked in. Check in went smoothly with them even hurrying... more
Nice hotel in the downtown area. Rooms are clean and modern. The staff, from the phone reservation, to getting directions, to check in was rude, and viewed you as an interruption to their day. The desk personnel were especially unkind and could not provide directions to anything. They just said "it's downtown". Too bad the experience was ruined by the... more
We had no complaints about this hotel other than it has no bar!!! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and helpful and the location is within walking distance of Broadway. Overall impression was very positive. more
This was a fine stay for a few days in downtown Nasvhille. We stayed here for the Country Music Marathon-the hotel is in a perfect location for this. It is halfway between the start and finish line and two blocks from the expo. It is in easy walking distance to all the fun bars of Broadway-you really can't get much... more
After booking on Hotwire, I came to TripAdvisor to read reviews, and got a little scared about this hotel based on some of the negative reviews regarding cleanliness, billing issues and friendliness. I was pleasantly surprised - I found the hotel clean. My bed wasn't comfortable to me, but probably would be fine for someone else (I thought it was... more
My experience at the Holiday Inn on Broadway in downtown Nashville was more than terrible. The conditions were unsanitary and deplorable, but the rude and flippant response of the night clerk was even worse. It was so bad, I called the general manager at 1:00 a.m. via a cell phone number on a letter in one of our rooms. I... more
Unlike most hotels these days, they didn't have coffee in the lobby...something I appreciate after traveling. They do have a shoe shiner in the lobby, but we didn't use the service. The hotel is convenient to business, not far from Legislative Plaza. We took the hotel shuttle downtown and ate at the Wildhorse Saloon. There was no wait for the... more
Under renovation, which caused long lines and long waits at the elevators. No room darkening drapes, only shears to cover windows in bright morning sunlight. Painful morning after a late night downtown. more
