We were in Ft. Worth for a family wedding, and stayed at the B&B for two nights. We had three rooms: Longhorn Suite (great for those who cannot climb stairs); the Tejas Room and the Lone Star Room. Each room is beautifully appointed in period furniture and accessories. We found the rooms and bathrooms to be larger than we had... more

The location is excellent for Forth Worth cultural district and downtown. It's a direct road straight in and out but is still really quiet. The bedroom was beautifully furnished with antiques and the bathroom finished off with a good selection of toiletries. You are given a key so that you may come and go as you please and there is... more

We're just back from our second stay at the Texas White House--we love it and will probably never stay anywhere else in FW as long as Grover and Jamie keep doing what they do! We have previously stayed in one of the "family suites" in the addition and this time we had the Lone Star room (supposedly haunted! but if... more

The minute you enter this early 1900's establishment, you step back into time. The dimly lit sconces, antique furniture and warm welcome by Grover brings a sigh of relief from the fast pace of life. The breakfasts are scheduled from 9-10;30; let's you sleep in or just lounge with a carafe of coffee, you can request. Our room was the... more

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to stay overnight during New Year's Eve `07-`08 (we were part of a celebration at a nearby pub) and this place was in walking distance. The owners were extremely courteous and careful to take care in every detail. We stayed in the "Land of Contrasts" room which was spacious, well-furnished and... more

We stayed here for one night (a Sunday night [they had a Play While Others Work special rate for Sunday through Thurs. nights]). The room was beautiful and very clean. We didn't take advantage of the sauna because we were enjoying the hot tub which was enormous. We were put in a room in a house detached from the main... more

I wanted a nice place to stay between a business trip to Dallas and a visit to family living east of DFW. I was going to take a day or two for myself and visit the world-class FW museums I had never taken the time to visit. The White House was perfect. I felt safe traveling alone and found the... more

We have just spent a week at the The Texas White House Fort WorthTX --in the Tejas room. The house is beautiful--spotlessly clean --the rooms gorgeous -with lovely attention to detail--and importantly when you're travelling, the bed was comfy---breakfasts freshly baked each morning by Jaime--with a different delight each day. The house is located in an historic part of Fort... more

There aren't enough superlatives to describe our experiences at the Texas White House! My wife and I have stayed here 3 times, and we're happily preparing for our 4th. We're pretty picky and we have some unusual requirements for our stays in Forth Worth......and the Texas White House has always been LIKE A DREAM. When you stay here, you want... more

My husband and I were looking for a last-minute local weekend getaway and found the Texas White House online. We contacted the property directly to be sure our late night arrival would be alright; Grover said sure and he met us at the door when we drove up. We stayed in the Land of Contrast room and loved the brightness... more

While not really a negative comment, this review mentioned the construction which seemed to go on forever on our street. The city was replacing the water main, and it got pretty loud, pretty early. The good news is that the construction was completed in early August, 2007. And our water is better than ever!
