We stayed for one night in June 2008, the hotel has beautiful grounds, the pool area is lovely, the hotel seemed very quiet we saw only two other guests. This must have been a very different place when the other reviews were written! The hotel is in serious need of a make over. The Chateau Lalande is a very beautiful building and we enjoyed our stay there, with some caveats. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the owner is a friendly host with an interesting life story to tell. stayed two years on the trot [2003 and 2004] very very nice hotel...................we will stay again. lovely room [superior] but not chaep. dinner/wine good BUT overpriced for what we received..... we will eat/drink in the nearby village next time. more
