We had a fantastic stay at this Hotel. Very upscale and very attentive service by everyone working there. Beautiful rooms with the Austrian decor, upgraded bath rooms, great robes and slippers - we couldn't have been happier. Small and intimate with only 20 rooms. My fiance and I stayed at the Goldener Hirsch in late July. Daytime temps were in ths mid 90's and the entire hotel is without air conditioning. While the rooms were beautiful and otherwise comfortable, the heat was nearly unbearable. All we were provided to combat the sweaty nights was a beat-up fan that did little to cool us off.... more

We had an excellent experience at this inn. It had a great feel- very friendly employees, warm decor (Austrian), newly upgraded bathrooms, yummy beers, great apres ski food and entertainment, great breakfast included in the room rate, great restaurant, easy ski rental/storage and close proximity to the mid-mtn lift.
