#1 - FREE BREAKFAST!! #2 - best beds... have stayed at Courtyard & Days Inn recently, but this Hampton Inn has great beds... unless you like sinking into the middle of the bed. : - ) #3 - best hotel if you're a smoker, staying with a non-smoker... I'm a non-smoker, my mom smokes (alot), we stay here when we... more

We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn Lynchburg for a long weekend. After reading many of the reviews I was very apprehensive based on the comments by others. What a wonderful experience we had, needless to say there was not any saggy beds, tattered box springs, moldy bathrooms or incompetent staff. Instead, our room was quite lovely, not a huge... more

Booked this Hampton Inn after staying at the one in Colchester VT on several occasions. They are like night and day. I agree with the review that likened this one to a Motel 6. Beds were old and sagging with torn sheets and frayed boxspring. Shower curtain made bathroom smell of mold. Dissappointing after staying in Colchester (for less money)... more

Rooms okay Reservation was incorrectly made by Hilton. Although this was not the properties fault they were no help in resolving the problem. Hilton reservations and property staff wound around each other for 24 hours or so getting more and more confused until I was forced to take a middle man position and sort it out myself. I asked for... more

This looks like a clean and updated version of a Motel 6 with a Hampton Inn sign on the side. NO ELEVATOR so you have to drag your luggage up the steps on the outside of the hotel and go down the Motel 6-like outside corridor to your room. Yuk. It's clean and fairly new inside, but it's TINY just... more

I use this board alot and usually consult it...however I figured a Hampton Inn is a Hampton Inn ..etc... and made a reservation at the Lynchburg one before checking the board. Needless to say, I was dreading our stay after checking previous reviews. Happily, we had a good experience ... it is under new management, owned and run by the... more

Undoubtedly a minimal Hampton Inn property. The owner of this franchised HI needs to take a hard look at the management of this sub-standard hotel. The woman manager appears to be inept while the employees raelly are doing their best. Room was okay but breakfast was sad. We observed the managers interaction with employees and guests and it was truly... more

I thought I had read a couple of years ago that Hampton Inns got rid of all exterior corridor motels. Wrong. This is an older property that was built as some other type of hotel. There are a few interior corridor rooms on the first floor just off the lobby--we were lucky enough to get one of these, so we... more

Stayed one night at the Hampton Inn Lynchburg and feel mixed about it. The layout is uncomfortable; I had an exterior room that did not feel secure: someone who wanted to break in had access to my room from the parking lot without having to enter the hotel. The door opened immediately into the room without even a small hallway,... more

This property more resembled a Days Inn or Motel 6 than a Hampton Inn. The Hampton web site indicated that there were both interior and exterior corridor rooms, but the interior corridor rooms were only accessible by walking up an exterior, dank and dark stairwell to the second floor. The non-smoking room did not smell like smoke, but was not... more
