I stayed 2 nights at the Royal Chace on business. I had a ground floor room, quite small but more than adequate for one person - nicely decorated (and not tatty), clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. There was a flat-screen tv (although not all the channels stated in the info were available). Bit of a problem... more

Stayed here as I was on business in Enfield where there is a lack of good hotels. Unless you have a car, then this isnt the place for you as its in the middle of nowhere. Due to arrive Sunday, but as I was going to be late thought I would call to let them know, however, I was told... more

I have stayed here a couple of times on business and found the hotel suitable. The rooms are a little on the small side but otherwise fine. The only really comlaint I have is the bath in that the rubber seal around the bath was broken and missing and not very hygenic. The bathroom was otherwise clean. Free wireless Internet... more

I have stayed at this hotel man times over the years, they have great function rooms, a nice restaurant and the rooms are nice although quite small. The hotel generally is not what it used to be and it feels as if they are taking their success for granted. The food used to be great, now it is just ok... more

This hotel has been "around" for 30ish years. The location is excellent as it is on the outskirts of the town and is surrounded by countryside. We had a good deal at £85 per room B&B. The check in staff were friendly and we were pleased with our room although no a/c. The room was small but well planned and... more

And the extras as well - trouser press, shoe shine machines, kettles, TV, bathroom items . Breakfast was a feast . . . (gorgeous sausages !!) You would think you were in some remote area of the country... more

We attended a wedding reception and stayed overnight. The wedding meal was excellent, with exceptionally good service at table. The staff were all very friendly, and helpful - for instance, when we asked at reception for extra towels, someone insisted on coming straight away to provide them. The pool was shut when we were there. The room was welll decorated... more

I recently organised a conference at The Royal Chace Hotel. In the morning of the conference, we were told that they did not have a projecter that worked but offered us a projector which had a 'slightly purple tinge.' Luckily one of my colleagues had brought one with them so the conference could continue. I would not recommend the BBQ... more

Both my partner had our office Christmas parties at the Royal Chace. The hotel is very nice with pleasant surroundings and a nice atmosphere. However be aware if expecting quality food if you are booking for a large party. There was little choice and the main course arrived undercooked. A number of guests from my partners party suffered the next... more
