Our visit to Culebra was everything we thought it would be and more. We did not expect much from the accommodations based on others review. We were pleased with Posada la Hamaca, the palace of the Hammock. It was clean, and Adam very accomodating. He even allowed us to change to another room which was larger when it became available.... more

The room was clean and had Direct TV which was good. The rooms are very small for the money, but one is really there for the beach, I suppose. The owner leered at me which made me feel uncomfy and I had to say something to him. I wanted to change places to stay but I was already there and... more

This is a great little hotel. Now, I must preface this by saying this is a small, remote, undeveloped island....so if you are expecting a 5-start caribbean resort built in 2007, you won't find it anywhere on this island. Overall, PLH (Posada) is an excellent place to stay. They are working hard to keep this hotel very nice. It looks... more

Posada La Hamaca is under new management and Adam, the new director is doing a great job of updating Posada La Hamaca. Posada La Hamaca is a great place to stay in Culebra. The rooms are nice and are priced well and you do not need a rental car while staying there. Posada is located in the town near all... more

We stayed 4 nights in Culebra from March 3rd- March7th 2007. Posada la hamaca was PERFECT. I mean I'm reading some of these people's reviews and they must have stayed at a different place than I did. Six of my friends and I went to Culebra for Spring Break and had the most incredible time. Posada la Hamaca is nice... more

Just returned from two wonderful weeks in PR, three nights of which included Posada la Hamaca. I reserved there because on the recommendation of the Travel Channel. These rooms are TEENY. There were three of us, and the first room we were in required a roll-away bed that we all had to crawl over to get to the bathroom. It's... more

I was recommended Pasada la Hamaca from someone on the mainland. I think they must have been trying to hook up their buddy that owned the place. It was really bad- the room was dirty, there was no air conditioning at the time and there was a big ladder in the bathroom when we walked in. I walked into the... more

I must preface by saying that I understand that Culebra is very slow, laid back, and the "way the Caribbean used to be." That is precisely what brought us here for a two day, one night jaunt from a weeklong Puerto Rico vacation. However, Posada La Hamaca is FAR too similar to a college dormitory for our tastes. For $30... more
