This hotel has undergone three name and perhaps ownership changes since 2006...Formerlly a Hampton poreprty, then private, now it is a Best Western. I know that a BW isn't like a Disney resort htel, but it isn't supposed to be the Knight's Inn, either... Let me go though the list of issues... 1) not enough storage for three people (2... more

We stayed at the Best Western the week of July 20th. If you plan on booking during the hot season I suggest you ask for a bottom floor. We were put on the 4th floor and our air didn't work so well. it was tolerable for the night . Ask to be put in a room on the bottom floor.... more

Wow i was surprised while reading other reviews i had a very nice stay. The Staff was overwhelmingly helpful rooms extremely clean, very quaint, and comfortable. One complaint is the breakfast is a bit sketch eggs and french toast pretty boring if they had waffles i would have been tons happier. All in All i had a very Nice time... more

This place is now called the Best Western Historic Area. I don't know if we got a newer room or what, but our experience was not near as terrible as the others I have read. We checked in late and asked for a rollaway which they brought in a reasonable amount of time. The room was clean and the beds... more

The check in went ok and everything went downhill from there. The hot tub was broken when we arrived. The pool was warm though the first day. The second day the pool was cooler and so forth. We said something to the front desk many times and finally after 2 days they determined the heater was broken. We asked several... more

The bathroom had "issues" when we arrived. I mentioned this at the front desk on my out for an evening activity. I was told it would be taken care of before I returned. It was not taken care of during my three day stay. Towels were not replaced during the daily cleaning, upon request I was told that I could... more

This trip was not planned, so I was so surprised to be able to walk in and be able get such a beautiful room at such a great rate. The rooms were spectacular. The service was commendable. We booked a historical getaway through the Carlton Hospitality Group. This was the hotel we were to stay at, had a confirmation number and booked a King with Jacuzzi non smoking room. Upon our arrival we were told our room was not ready as they were "packed all week" and they had not gotten around to cleaning it yet. This... more
