Despite a beautiful entrance and grounds that I was enamored with as a former resident and W&M student in Williamsburg, my fiance and I found that the Williamsburg Lodge fell short of its reputation. At first glance, the lobby seemed inviting and first-rate, but upon closer inspection we were surprised at the relatively cheap pleather furniture and dusty silk flowers.... more

We had a very pleasant two night stay at the Williamsburg Lodge. You cannot beat it for convenience if you are planning to visit Colonial Williamsburg. It is a one block walk into the colonial village. The hotel has a person in the lobby that will get you all set with tickets and you receive a discount for staying at... more

We just returned from our stay at the Williamsburg Lodge and although we found our room to be spacious, nicely decorated and within walking distance of Colonial Williamsburg, there were some problems. If you are looking for a good night's sleep you may want to reconsider as I think the bed was from Colonial times, very saggy and uncomfortable. The... more

My wife and I enjoyed a multi-night stay at the Lodge after dropping our son off at UVa over in Charlottesville. I have been coming to Williamsburg for over 40 years and have always enjoyed my visits. The stay at the Lodge - first stay since renovations - was fantastic. The room was spacious and well-appointed. The service from check-in... more

Our family always spends the 4th of July in Williamsburg. We normally stay at the Marriott but my husband enjoys the Historic area so much that I thought it would be a real treat to park the car and relax. The Williamsburg Lodge proved to provide just what we were looking for. We were initially assigned a room in the... more

We stayed at the Lodge during a hot, sunny Williamsburg weekend. We choose this place each time we visit because we get to partake of many of the amenities that the Inn offers, yet don't have to pay the Inn's steep prices. We also like to be close to the Historic Area, so we don't have to use our car... more

We stayed in a room in Tazewell Hall, which is the modern building. I selected it because I could choose to have a balcony, however, we didn't use it at all. The balcony was very tiny, and faced another building, no real garden view, just a patch of grass and other windows. The room was a good size, bed comfortable,... more

We were so looking forward to staying at the Lodge (we had stayed several times in the past but not since their renovations). Obviously the room we were assigned in the Tazewell Building was not renovated!!!! Room was dark and dingy. Which was probably for the best that way I could not see how unclean it was. Previous vacationers toothpaste... more

We returned to the Lodge because we enjoyed our trip last year. We felt July would be cooler than August . The room was very nice. Rarely saw or heard other guests, so it was peaceful. Bed was fine and bathroom was ok. Sure it was small, but I prefer to be alone there anyway. Spa toiletries were very nice... more
