We stayed for one night on our honeymoon, and wish we could have stayed for much longer. We rented a deluxe sea ranch cottage. It had a large bed, bathroom, kitchenette, living room, and spacious deck. The sliding doors on the front of the cottage were ceiling high and could be opened so that the entire front of the cottage... more

We just returned from two wonderfully relaxing nights at the Hotel Hana Maui. After spending six nights at Ka'anapali with its "Disney World" atmosphere, we were a bit apprehensive that the Road to Hana would lead us to Dullsville. We couldn't have been more wrong! We managed to miss the throngs of daytrippers and tour buses by starting the drive... more

So, on our second stop on the Hawaii honeymoon, we flew to Maui and drove to Hana (roughly 3 hours on the very scenic Hana Highway). What an amazing place this was. I'm sorry we only stayed there two nights. The staff is incredible. They all come from the town of Hana and most grew up there and continue to... more

Here's the deal with the hotel: It's remote. It's quiet. It has beautiful views. The rooms are nice and clean. HOWEVER, you are in the tropics, and there are bugs. Not just ants! Mini-cockroaches and larger cockroaches. If you can deal with this, then you will enjoy yourself. I really liked the place, but could not deal with the bugs.... more

We stayed at the Hotel Hana for three nights during our honeymoon. I don't quite understand the other reviews, except to say that there are amazing views and the property is well-manicured. This place is like a fancy summer camp, but not that fancy. The rooms are infested with bugs. They actually give you a can of Raid in the... more

We were looking for a couple of days of peaceful solitude and found it at the Hotel Hana. No TV and no radio in rooms. One rarely encounters other guests. Super helpful and friendly staff. Very good restaurant. Perfect location. Clean and spacious rooms. Well worth the long winding drive! more

We stayed for 2 nights at the Hana Hotel after staying 4 nights in the more "tourist-heavy" Kaanapali. I wish we stayed longer in Hana. There is a unique feeling of being in a secret and remote area of the world when you're at this hotel. During the day we only saw a few couples (sometimes by the pool, walking... more

My wife and I spent 5 nights of heaven in a Sea Ranch cottage and what a treat this was. We arrived during a flash flood and literally followed a front end loader for awhile who was removing debris from the road to Hana. Very cool. But we were certainly ready for some peace after the gnarly ride in and... more

We stayed at the Hotel Hana Maui for two nights and I have nothing but great things to say about it. We loved our sea ranch cottage (#301). The views from the deck were as good as it gets. In fact, we loved it so much that we dragged our bed out onto the deck to sleep. We were a... more

Our Sea Ranch cottage at the edge of the sea was at the property's far end so we appreciated the golf cart transport from the bell desk to the main lodge, esp after dark at mealtime. These are 1950s style cottages, with sliding glass doors and screens bilt before the ones we use now were invented. Our curtains had fist... more
