We spent our first night at the Maui Beach Hotel because it was close to the airport (we arrived that day) and it was a good jumping-off spot for the Hana Highway. The staff was friendly enough (actually, most of the staff was REALLY chatty and friendly) and the common areas are open, airy, and quite pleasant. However, our room... more

Arriving in the early evening in Maui, as most planes do, we wanted a place to stay near the airport. We were pleasantly surprised by the Seaside. It was reasonable (for Maui standards in February, $185), it was clean, it was comfortable. Folks at the front desk are a bit stingy with a smile at first, but work them a... more

Our group of two adults and two children stayed at the Maui Beach Hotel from Dec. 27-29, 2007. This hotel has a very friendly staff and I heard it's a place where Hawaii residents often stay. It isn't a 5-star hotel but it's clean and comfortable, and we had very good service. We had trouble with our car rental and... more

This is not the worst hotel we've ever stayed in, but it had quite a few problems. First of all, it is nowhere near the beach. This was not a problem for us because we'd rented a car, but anyone staying here should realize that a car rental is a must. The hotel is located on a highway in an... more

service: room service ok - only receptionist a little slow and non-cooperative room: our room was very small - there was basically 20 inches on 3 sides around the bed. the closet was tiny, bathroom ok. location: no beach (next to the harbor!), you will definitely have to go somewhere else! very close to the airport (5 minutes) but no... more

The hotel is not worth the price if you are looking for a friendly atmosphere to stay in. Staff is unwilling to assist. Although it is in close proximity to the airport, travel a few minutes further down the road to Kihei for a better experience. more

THIS HOTEL WAS AMAZING!! My fiance was a little hesitant at taking me here but I loved it. GREAT SERVICE, SMILING AND COURTEOUS STAFF. Nice, cozy little hotel, kind of open, I could really relax there. It's close to the harbor where Norwegian Cruiseline comes in. I didn't get to tour the hotel because of my schedule but I heard... more

Pros: Central Location, Plenty of FREE parking & Bell Desk Service Cons: Front Desk Service, Rooms in General, Over Priced Rates & Noisy Air Conditioning. There's no denying that this is an ideal location to the airport and a great starting point to tour both sides of the Island. But other than that, everything else is just below average. With... more

Bait and switch is their speciality and if you are in a pinch, they could care less. Not locally owned, but by a external firm which translates to poor serivice, lousy attitudes, money grabbing, standard to poor rooms and a terrible value, spend the time/money and stay somewhere else even if you are just passing through... more

I must say I expected a bit more from this hotel. Most hotels offer coffee machines in room but this one didn't and to make matters worse is their restaurant is only open for early breakfast until 9a.m. I believe and not again until 5.30 or so for dinner and closed at I believe 7 p.m. They only offered buffet... more
