Very comfortable studio condo accommodations with a large patio and kitchen. We were worried about staying here because you never really know what you are getting with a condo, but the unit was clean, spacious and comfortable and it was great to have a kitchen to save some $$ on food. New pools were great and a free shuttle stops... more

This was our 2nd trip to Maui. The 1st time our daughter-in-law made all the arrangements. But because our Son and his wife asked us to accompany them we went with their selections. This trip we took our friemds with us and I did all the reservations and I could not have done better. I found Napil Bay #116 on... more

I just want to say that my first impression of my condominium at KV was not great; however, my stay was fantastic. I don't think I could have had a better stay with my family (4) and my parents (elderly) than I did. The beach in front of the villas is beautiful and we got up every morning just to... more

This was our first time to Maui and we did not know much about MKV before we arrived. We loved the place right from the get go. We liked that the hotel was nice and clean but not to fancy or pretentious . Our studio unit was very clean and comfortable and the lanai opened out onto a gorgeous grassy... more

This was our first trip to Maui, though we went with other family members who had been before. All of us found nothing but perfection with the Kaanapali Villas. The rooms were huge, clean, and well cared for. The staff was excellent and the property was second to none for beauty, convenience, and location. Right on a gorgeous beach, yet... more

I would not go here if it was your first trip to Maui or wanted to be pampered and were just using the room as a place to sleep. The outside of the buildings are very dated and kind of dingy. We went with a group, and the units do differ a lot. We were lucky to get a unit... more

I booked my condo through VRBO and was very happy with it. My room was Banyan 130 and it was very nice, clean, roomy and so easy to come and go from. It was a corner unit on the bottom and I never used my actual door, I just came and went through the sliding glass doors which made it... more

We had stayed here a few years ago and came back. We like the low profile of the hotel near the uncrowded beach (a building towering above as I sunbathe is a bit unnerving). The beach is beautiful. The room was clean and spacious enough for two. The staff was pleasant. The location was excellent. For the price we were... more

If you don't mind staying at a low end Hotel for the Money you could still probably find a better deal somewhere else. The rooms (or most to my knowledge) are privately owned. In most cases this is common in Maui. The problem is that each owner designs their condo to their own taste. In our case this meant everying... more

Management response from

Maui Kaanapali Villas is just completing a $1.4 million renovation of the pools and grounds. Two jet spas, bar-b-ques, water features and new landscaping have been added. The entire hotel, inside and out, is being up-graded. All units are individually owned condominiums. Not all units are in the ResortQuest Hawaii resort program, so be careful when you make your reservations....
