The Westin is in a great location about two blocks from Moscone Convention Center. Rooms are tad bit small. Although bath and entry are quite large. It must be the width of the room as a king eats up all the space. Great LCD and traditional Westin features. Views from higher floors are good. more

This was my second stay at the Westin Market Street and once again I was very happy. I booked through Hotwire, having to make two separate reservations for a weekend visit. The desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful, always smiling and eager to be of assistance - and didn't seem put-out when I requested a late check out. Got... more

Booked the Westin with Expedia and paid extra for a "Grand Deluxe" room. the rooms get more expensive the higher up you go and a Grand Deluxe was described as being between floors 14 and 26. We particularly wanted to be as high as possible (within our budget) and overlooking the city skyline. We arrived around 8pm and upon checking... more

My wife and I stayed at the Westin, Market Street about 2.5 weeks ago over the weekend. The main reason I chose to stay there was a) the great location for shopping, and b) the decent/above average reviews on TA, and c) because I'm an SPG Gold Member. I went ahead and booked a Deluxe King Corner Room thinking that... more

The Westin Hotel at market street is a hotel to avoid at ALL costs. Its a very very very OLD Hotel which the Westin have taken over off another chain and i wish they hadn't! Its possibly the worst stay and hotel i have ever stayed in. The Hotel shakes, rattles and rolls in wind....YES...the whole building makes strange noises and... more

My husband and I stayed here for four nights after booking through Hotwire. The location is excellent, between Union Square and Moscone Center, and one block from the subway. Someone complained about noise in a review, but if you're staying in the heart of a big city how can you possibly expect it to be quiet? We were on the... more

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Westin for a few days (4/19-4/22) during our recent trip to San Francisco. The hotel is in good condition and the rooms are small (but definitely reasonable). Unfortunately, when we were there it was exceptionally windy. This wind caused the hotel to literally creek, moan and make endless amounts of noise. It was... more

I stayed at the Westin SF Market Street while attending a three day conference at that hotel. In contrast to the Westin St. Francis, not too many blocks away, the Westin SF Market Street feels like a smaller, boutique hotel (even though it is 36 floors high) emphasizing a more modern, cutting edge style. I enjoyed my stay immensely and... more

Stayed there for business. Gave them a CC for incidentals, but charged entire room amount to my card, plus $120 extra. The reason? I received two answers, first, we were told the woman who checked us in was "in training" and did everything wrong. Secondly, they said "it wasn't our fault you didn't fill out the paperwork." Prior to checking... more

Stayed at the Westin Market Street on Valentine's Day 2008 and hotel stay was perfect. Newly renovated room was spotlessly clean, very nice modern furnishings, floor-to-ceiling windows with great views, comfortable "heavenly" bed and had good amenities for both leisure and business travelers, except Internet for a fee. Location is good & very easy walking to MOMA and shopping. Did... more
