This is an atrium style hotel with a multi-story waterfall in the large open lobby/bar area that is pretty but can be a little loud for conversation in the bar area. The Holiday Inn on Walden is currently being updated. We found the rooms to be very clean and comfortable. Many things from the bedding to the carpet as well as the sink fixtures seem to be brand new. Rooms are average size, snug for a family of four. Stayed here on a business trip.. water leaks throughout hotel and elevator. Too much chlorine in the swimming pool and whirlpool bath. Pool too small. Restaurant has really good food and is very clean. Overall a noisy hotel with a lot of rambunctious activity including some questionable activities. Front desk personnel apathetic. We stay at this Plaza every Christmas for one week when we return home for the holidays. The rooms are clean, the staff friendly, food good, and an excellent little lobby pub.The staff goes out of their way to make you feel at home. Not a resort hotel by any means... but a great place to rest your head. more
