Stayed in this hotel for two nights. Great location but I would say it was a posh B&B more than a hotel. The room was very small and there was nowhere to hang anything up. There was an old fashoined TV and VHS player but no clear instructions how to operate them. There is a thai restaurant next door that... more

I stayed at the Charlesmark for business purposes at the end of March. It was the second time I had stayed there and I was again pleased with my stay. Since my first stay the lobby area, bar, and lounge had been completed and I was impressed with these new areas. The hotel has a modern vibe, but no so... more

I have just returned from a four night stay at the Charlesmark due to a business conference in Boston. I had done a lot of cheking prior to making a reservation because it is a pretty expensive town in which to stay, and even the "conference rates" for other hotels were out of my limited budget. Then I discovered the... more

My wife and I have just returned from Boston where we stayed at the Charlesmark Hotel for 5 nights. The Location of the Hotel could not be better only a short walk or subway ride to all the major attractions. The rooms although small where exceptionally clean and very comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. The bar was... more

Returned today from three days at the Charlesmark. After the hotel in New York (Radio City Apartments), this was so much nicer. Free breakfast, coffee/tea and water all day, free internet access. The rooms are small but well equipped, beds very comfortable and everyone is so pleasant. We were the oldest people there, but didn't feel at all out of... more

I spent three nights at the Charlesmark and agree with many of the previous reviewers: the location and price can't be beat. The main purpose of my trip to Boston was shopping, and the location of the Charlesmark in the Back Bay neighborhood, just a block off Newbury and close to Copley Place, was ideal. Additionally, the T stop just... more

I enjoyed my stay at the Charlesmark. The staff were friendly and helpful, the bar interesting and lively. Some excellent features (for example, the free to use internet access) were a real boon. Of course, it was not perfect. I was travelling alone and had relatively little luggage but the rooms are not huge (a common issue in Boston hotels... more

The hotel is located in the Back Bay area, almost right across the street from the Boston Public Library and about two blocks from the Prudential Center Shops. A block in the opposite direction from Copley Square and a stop to catch the "T" train. My room was located on the third floor, facing Boylston Street. Noticeably noisy throughout the... more

Spent the weekend in Boston in mid-February. Check in was quick, then up to our room on the 5th floor, front of the building, looking across to the public library. Rooms were decorated nicely, mood music playing. The view at night was nice as well. Getting to the hotel was easy, parked out front to register, then just a few... more

I was in town for a conference and all of the conference hotels were booked- since I used to live in Boston, I remembered the Charlesmark and was very pleased to not only find that they had rooms available, but to find out that their room rates were almost $100 less than the other area hotels!! We arrived early in... more
