With the proximity to Fenway Park, it's an excellent place to stay if you're catching a Red Sox game, plus it's only a 10 minute walk to downtown. Not only that, the staff are absolutely fabulous! After numerous stays at this hotel, there is nothing that I can complain about. Compared to other major city hotels, the price is more... more

We came up to the area for graduation and had 4 rooms booked for our family. We stayed 2 nights and I have to say the front desk people were very helpful in many aspects, from making sure our rooms were what we ordered to calling the many taxis we required (2 at a time). The rooms were very clean.... more

I stayed here with a bunch of guys for a bachelor party. Perfect! Fenway right next door. Great hotel bar. The bartender Mary Beth is awesome. If you need a place that is reasonable and don't expect much else it's perfect. more

Rooms are nice and spacious. Clean and bright. I had problems getting the wireless internet in my room and they moved me to another room where I got it and I am happy with the results. Two nice gentlemen at the reception who had to deal with me after I wasnt happy about not receiving the internet in the old... more

The room was spacious. Furniture and decor were a little old but serviceable. Curtains were a bit dirty, but bedlinen and bathroom were perfectly clean. Strange smell in hallway, but it didn't come into the room. The area felt safe and the hotel is on a bus route and 5 minutes from the 'T" train. It was a cheap deal... more

What a nice surprise! Great place, handy to public transportation, fine neighborhood and, oh, by the way, the hotel is located next to Fenway! Our room was pleasant, clean and decorated fine. We'll definitely stay there again if we get lucky enough to get Red Sox tickets again :-) Actually, we'll stay there whenever the occasion brings us to Bean... more

Stay away from the Howard Johnson's on Boyleston St. High prices for a hotel that is literally falling apart. We stayed at the hotel a few times for Red Sox games. Each year the price of the rooms keep getting inflated and the hotel keeps deteriorating. Our room had bugs in it along with a terrible smell from the hallway.... more

We had stayed at this motel about 5 years ago also for medical reasons and it has deteriorated horribly since. This visit we were unable to find another hotel to stay in, therefore, we ended up here by default for 2 nights. The first night we were on the first floor. This room had a very moldy smell and the... more

I travel frequently for work and usually spend several nights a week in hotels. That said, this was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. My usual Boston hotels were full, so I selected this place despite my better judgment and despite the outrageous (for a HOJO) $250 nightly rate. The room was dirty, the sheets and... more

We were horrified and extremely disappointed upon reading this very unfavorable review. Our housekeeping department takes great pride in the work that they do and it is seldom that we hear complaints of the quality of their work. We are sorry that you were disatisfied about your stay and hope that you would give us another opportunity to prove that...

Even in Boston for $180 plus taxes per night you might expect better than this, but I think I could easily throw a baseball into Fenway Park from outside of the hotel room. I was there to see the Red Sox, so the location could not have been better. I forgot binoculars, and after I was in the park, it... more
