I wouldn't classify this as a hotel. On a recent business trip for Texas Instruments in San Diego, I made reservations at this hotel for 3 nights. The studio was very shabby. The blanket looked worn out and the pillowcovers had stain on them. In summary, I would have walked in and expected this to be a roadside motel. You... more

This is a limited service hotel. They replace the sheets/towels only once per week (although you can take towels to the front desk for a refresh), and as far as I could tell, they clean the rooms only once every few years. The bathroom and kitchen floors were filthy -- hairs, dirt, spilled food. Our beadspread had big red splotches... more

This hotel was absolutley HORRIBLE! We booked our three rooms a month in advance on the hotel website. When we arrived they had changed all our reservations to Queen rooms (which were way to small for three families of four) and our kids slept on the floor for the first night until they could move us into a King room... more

This place is a business district of Mission Valley. It's a quiet, safe area. The room is pretty basic. There is a bed, chair and ottoman, 13" TV, ironing board and iron. Has a kitchen with stove, full size frig and microwave. They provide you with a bar of soap and towels. If you stay less than 7 days there... more

I had stayed at this hotel last year and was not happy. I then decided to give it another try on my busness trip this year and was very pleased with all the improvements they had made to the hotel and staff. It is under new management and they have made quite a few wonderful changes. The rooms are cleaner... more

Bathroom was disgusting. Had to buy flip-flops to wear int he shower. I was there for 5 days and they NEVER cleaned the room or changed the linens once. Looks nice from the outside, but terrible on the inside. more

I stayed at Homestead for about a week for business. I pretty much echo the sentiment of many other posters about the dirtyness. My bathtub had mold, the floor did not seem clean and I found some random hairs in the sheets that were clearly NOT mine, causing me to wonder how well they'd been washed. Management should really address... more

I would recommend this hotel to any budget minded person who doesn't mind the short drive to the beach. Hotel was CLEAN, had an apartment size refrigerator, two burner stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, pots & pans, dishes, glasses, other cooking utensils. There are shops & markets close to this hotel if you like to cook. Staff was friendly and... more

Since I paid $44/night for the room, I guess it was still a good deal. However, the flooring was very dirty, the shower was mildewy, and the whole place smelled like someone had smoked in it (although it was a nonsmoking room). The hotel has a lot of noise from Interstate 5 and the walls are thin. The bed was... more

Hey, this place is cheap and excellent value particularly if you intend to use public transport. The tram is an easy ten minute walk away and you will be in Old Town in five minutes. This place is lacking in atmosphere so don't book this place if you want to hang around the hotel. Book with confidence if you just... more
