I stayed at Rancho Bernardo two years ago and found the resort average at best. I came back in May 2008 and it has significantly changed---for the better! The rooms and spa have been updated (flat screen TV, new furnishings, first class spa and private adult salt water pool). Also, during this trip I managed to walk around the grounds... more

I stayed at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in CA. It was a nice hotel. The room was very spacious and somewhat clean. The bathroom needs some work though. I have some problem sleeping at night because I can hear people closing their door or my top floor neighbor was walking very hard. We stayed at the garden building next to... more

We just got back from a wonderful stay at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. The grounds are immaculate and peaceful. The sweet smell of honeysuckle greeted us everytime we opened our front door. The staff works hard to insure that every guest is happy with their stay - excellent customer service. We really liked the fact that this resort is in... more

We just spent eight days at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. The room was spacious and quiet. I'm very sensitive to outside noise and this room was solid with a private patio. We were traveling with our three year old son so we needed a room that opened onto grass or someplace where he could run around. Our room was a... more

I stayed here during a conference for two nights in January. This is a lovely resort, with a series of low-rise buildings spread over a hillside. It was pouring rain for most of the time that we were there, but even in the rain, it was a pleasant place to stay - attractively decorated, good food, nice landscaping and lovely... more

We had a great stay here. Service could not have been better. You just drive up to the door, leaving the motor running on your car and a bellhop parks it for you instantly. Two more bellhops open both doors of the hotel. Smashing. When you want your car back, a bellhop instantly runs to get it. What more can... more

The Rancho Bernardo Inn is one of those resorts at which you need to stay for several days to unwind and enjoy the amenities. Unfortunately I was there for only one night, and that on business. From my brief stay, though, I saw that it is a warm, inviting resort consisting of a cluster of smallish buildings connected by winding... more

**I stayed here for a conference two weeks before the San Diego fires, but I understand the hotel escaped the flames** I loved this hotel and would happily return. I was here for a conference, so stayed on property the entire time and never felt the need to escape (as one often does!). The property is just gorgeous - fountains... more

This is a beautiful property. You drive through a residential neighborhood to get there (about 2-3 miles from the highway), but once you enter the grounds, it's like its own little world. The property consists of many two and three story buildings with walkways in between. The greenery and courtyards are beautiful and there is classical music piped throughout the... more

We stayed at RB a year ago, but our experience was limited by remodeling. We noted our issues on TA, and the resort contacted us to return for a subsidized visit. We were impressed! The people were tremendous, not just helping us, but filling in for each other. The teamwork we saw is a great reflection on the management. We... more
