We spent three nights at the Library Hotel in May and have only great things to say. The hotel is well situated in midtown within walking distance to alot of shopping, dining, and theatre. Catch the subway one block away at Grand Central Station or if you prefer hail a cab. The room was a good size with room to... more

Excellent hotel and staff. This was our second stay within a matter of months. The accommodations and staff are both exceptional. The staff always goes out of their way to make the customer welcome and any request for service is never too great. We went this second time to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel staff and mgmt welcomed us with... more

It was my first time at The Library - the husband's 4th or 5th as he's stayed there on business before. We stayed a week in 001Modern History on the 9th Floor and this elicits my only negative comment. Now, I know they were pretty full (and we had to be reassigned a couple of days before arriving from the... more

We booked a Junior King Suite (the most expensive room they have) several months in advance and as it was my 40th Birthday, we specifically asked for the Love Room (due to the great reveiws here on TA), but gave 3 other alternatives in case that wasn't available. We checked back a few days before arrival to see whether we... more

They gave me an upgrade to a King room for the Queen price as they were sold out of Queen and I really did not want the twin size/Petite bed so that was a good start :) Just there for a sat. eve meeting a friend from out of town - I am in DC. I have wanted to stay... more

First off I'll say that this is a nice hotel in a good location with mostly pleasant staff. However based on the rave reviews here on Trip Advisor I really expected more - something memorable and special. I read numerous stories here of people being upgraded randomly to nicer rooms and stories of the hotel somehow having a special dessert... more

The hotel caters to all possible interests by arranging the floors and rooms according to the Dewey Decimal System of book classification. We stayed in 7.01 which is Architecture; the room has a wonderful supply of books including an invaluable guide to New York skyscrapers. The room is a good size and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom is spacious... more

We stayed in The Library Hotel for the final night of our honeymoon. The check in was very efficient and the receptionist was genunine and friendly. As this was the final night of our honeymoon they had upgraded us to the Love Room which made the final night of our honeymoon very special. The room was beautiful and the balcony... more

This is honestly one of the best hotels you will find in any city. The attention to detail is incredible and the staff are the nicest team of people I have ever encountered. They really cannot do enough for you and went out of their way to help - looking places up, calling to make reservations, printing out maps -... more
