We stayed in one of the self-catering apartments on S 16th Street. The location is great, right in Centre City and on a very quiet street close to everything. The room itself was okay. The kitchen was microscopic but well stocked, except for sugar for our coffee. The shower was also very small but the bathroom itself was a good... more

We (me, wife and child) rented the ground floor and basement kitchen for 135 USD per night. We have travelled extensively over the past 15 years and are equally relaxed in "homely B&Bs" as in luxury hotels. Given the price and the alternative options (including on the same road), this has dredged a new benchmark for low quality and insulting... more

Having a #1 ranking for BnBs in Center City Philly, I expected more than this BnB had to offer. The location was nice, right in the heart of Center City, however, it left much to be desired. The mirrors had toothpaste specks from a previous guest, the shower floor looked dirty, the furniture was old and worn, and the breakfast... more

My mother stayed here (the 16th Street rowhome) in November and December, 2007. It's a great location but the room hadn't been dusted in a very long time (I mean, there are limits to caked up dust) and the sheets were quite old and worn. We sneaked a look at the bigger rooms and they looked a bit better. For... more

I loved the B&B and will try to be sure never to stay anywhere else in Philadelphia. Barbara's dedication to giving people a great experience in accommodation is clear, and I appreciated it. more

This is a wonderful find in Philadelphia, perfectly located for walking to most major attractions in a town that is a great walking town. The owner was utterly accommodating and made every effort to make sure we were comfortable, right down to asking our food preferences for the do-it-yourself breakfast. This last was particularly welcome after a string of artery-clogging... more

Well, this is a gem of a B & B. Located in a central position in the heart of the city and close to what seems the best of Philli. The walk among the shady trees on the streets to and from places was always pleasant. The owner is extremely helpful and easy going and has made the rooms very... more

I stayed this cute and charming bed & breakfast for two months period. I think monthly cost was reasonable. The bed & breakfast was located in the heart of the Center City Philadelphia. Very comfortable place to stay: close to markets, decent restaurants, and good access to public transportation. This B&B gave me a feeling of the local people from... more
