We just loved the Doubleday Inn. The location was perfect for the battlefield tours and the Inn itself was very tranquil and peaceful. A wonderful Bed and Breakfast! From the moment we walked in the front door we knew we had found something very special. The Innkeepers, Christine and Todd are friendly and helpful. The Doubleday Inn is the most quiet and peaceful place we have ever stayed. There is a reverence for the battlefield as this place overlooks it in three directions. The Doubleday Inn is very cozy and Christine and Todd make you feel like you are right at home. Very quiet location. I stayed in the O'Neal room which was perfect. It was a bit cold when I stayed here in Feb., but I loved sitting in the living room sipping on hot tea. The picture window in the living room looks directly out onto the first day's battlefield.
