We had a delightful stay at this Fairfield Inn. We were a bit apprehensive due to some earlier reviews, but decided to trust Marriott's good name. As suggested, we requested a 3rd floor room. This is good advice; the 3rd floor has an interior corridor; the first two are exterior entries. The front desk staff were wonderfully welcoming, allowing an... more

I stayed here on an overnight business trip. The hotel has three floors. The first and second floors have outdoor corridors and the third floor has indoor corridors. You need a room key card to get to the second and third floors. The room was basic and slightly run down. The window opened to outside with a little effort but... more

The Fairfield Inn is the lower-end part of the Marriott chain so too much wasn't expected. The price was definitely the best in Savannah and the location was good (straight shot down Abercorn to the historic district and River Street). The desk staff was friendly and there is a pool and workout room plus free internet access. However, the room... more

We stayed in this hotel for our first trip to Savannah. It's a bit away from downtown but not so far that it makes it unbearable to go downtown or anywhere in the Savannah area. When we checked in, we were very warmly greeted and made to feel welcome. The room was small but clean. The only complaint we really... more

My 2 children, mother and I stayed in this room on our GS troop's trip to Savannah, so we were pretty much stuck here. In our first room, my daughters discovered a pair of shoes under a chair and a few minutes later, vomit down the side of the bed skirt, on the free standing lamp next to the bed... more

We paid $70/night for a King room at the Fairfield inn. We were looking for a home base type of place to stay, just to sleep, shower and relax a bit before going out most of the day to sightsee. For what we wanted it was great. The hotel: We stayed two nights and everything was fine. The hotel is... more

Ok, I was a little apprehensive about staying here after several reviews I saw on the hotel but I found things quite different and a very comfortable and pleasant experience. My husband couldn't make it w/me so I called the hotel direct to see if they had a rollaway bed so my girlfriend could have someplace to sleep. They said... more

Stayed 2 nights in May with husband and 14 year old son. Could not find anything reasonable near the historic district so decided on the F.I. This was an above average hotel. The staff were pleasant. We stayed on 3rd floor, non-smoking although I could smell smoke, we asked for double beds but they were not available. They did bring... more

When my husband told me that the room was ok, I didn't realize 'ok' was actually a high rating. The walkways were filthy and the trashcans in the cooridor needed to be emptied. By the time I made it to our room I was afraid to sit down. After calling and finally going to the the front desk to resolve... more
