The hotel had a great location and was generally fine. They had wireless in the lobby but not in the rooms which would have made things better. The staff was helpful and directed me to a great local restaurant--Mothers--which was a big plus. I had a very early flight and called the desk at 0445 to book a taxi--no answer.... more

I think this is a great value. I am confused by it being a 2 star hotel. I think it is better than that. It was new, clean, large rooms, decent breakfast and great location. Comparing it to other New Orleans hotels I think the condition is above average. more

I always look for hotels that are reasonably priced and well-located when I travel. We stayed at this hotel for only $100 per night during the Memorial Day weekend, and thought it was a great deal. It is just a short 5-minute walk to the French Quarter and Bourbon Street, and the rooms are actually very nice and modern for... more

We stayed at La Quinta for 5 nights (Sun-Thurs). My husband was doing business in town and so we did not have a choice in hotel because his company was paying for it. I am not a fan of La Quinta so I will not try and not be too negative. I will outline everything with pros and cons. FYI... more

Stayed at the La Quinta New Orleans Downtown for 3 nights in December 2007. This is an excellent hotel and I highly recommend it to all travelers to the area!!!!! The rates were so incredibly low for a downtown location. Right now New Orleans is La Quinta's featured destination, so I was able to book through their website for between... more

I have stayed here a couple of times for Jazz Fest. It's a great location. Close to French Quarter. It's right around the corner from the Sheraton where you catch buses to Jazz Fest. The rooms are of a good size and everything is new, since looters stole everything after Katrina. I tried booking here again for Jazz Fest this... more

I was a little dubious about this hotel, because of the 2* rating on TripAdvisor and the low price, but I was very, very surprised. The reception was extremely nice, the staff lovely and helpful, the complimentary breakfast extensive and tasty, and the rooms pretty good....and I'm used to 4* hotels. Pros: location - 2 minute walk from Bourbon and... more

I stayed here in early November 2007 on business, and it was just what I've come to expect from LaQuinta: a clean, quiet room with average amenities that is pet-friendly (I always travel with my dog- a whippet/mix). There were a couple of things that were wrong with the room (small hole in bedspread; toilet continued to churn water after... more

We were in NO for the first time and stayed at the LQ on points which were easy and reasonable to use! The location was great! You really are not far from anything and we walked eveywhere except for the cab to/from the airport. The first room we had had "many" hairs on the sheets (yes we do check the... more

Arriving at New Orleans Int'l Airport early in the day (Friday), I drove down to the La Quinta at 301 Camp where I had a reservation, to check it out. One of my concerns was parking the rental car. I found a metered space very close to the hotel during a business day morning, and at that point I knew... more
